Starbucks Coffee - MK

If you are a coffee enthusiast like myself there is nothing better than a good cup of coffee in the morning or really at any time. Some folks prefer iced coffee or frappuccinos, but not me, I’m an ole fashion gal and like my coffee hot, preferably a café latté. While there are alot of choices to where you can get a real good cup of coffee at Walt Disney World, I’m going to share with you some of my favorites and then give you all a chance to tell us yours..

  • Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Resort – Probably the best place at Disney World for coffee lovers. The Kona Coffee they serve there in the French Press Pot is phenomenal! It is shipped in from Hawaii and has made a lasting impression on me that I will never forget. If you are not in the mood for Tonga Toast just stop by the Kona Cafe Bar right next door for some coffee to go.
  • The Writers Stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – is a cozy little book store/coffee shop that has a barista on staff whipping up drinks for coffee fanatics. Many people know it more for their Carrot Cake Cookies, but that’s just because they haven’t discovered their delicious coffee.
  • Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom– is now serving Starbucks coffee. So you now have another really good place to get those skinny half-calf, extra hot, no foam, sugar-free, vanilla lattés.
  • Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at Disney Animal Kingdom – While most people have a hard time finding this shop, and it is more known for their cupcakes, the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery has shade-grown gourmet coffees. It might be a long walk to get there but well worth it!
  • Fountain View at Epcot – is no longer selling Ice Cream, but instead is now serving up your favorite Starbucks Coffee. Grab yourself a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino or a Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte before heading out to the World Showcase.
  • Starbucks at Downtown Disney – this is a two for one kind of deal.. Now with two New Starbucks locations open at Downtown Disney there is more places to get your coffee fix. Are you a Grande Café Latté or a Triple Venti upside-down Caramel Macchiato? Which ever your craving you know that Starbucks is going to have the coffee for you.

There are a ton of other places to get good coffee at Walt Disney World like Contemporary Grounds, Grand Floridan Cafe and many more. But now it’s your turn. Where is your favorite place for a cup of coffee at Walt Disney World?

  1. Di, the author of this article, dated July 2014, mentioned getting coffee to go at the Kona Coffee Bar right next to the restaurant, so maybe they have it back again! Give it a try.

  2. You covered it; the Kona Cafe, at the Polynesian. My absolute favorite coffee is 100% Kona, and this was the very first place I encountered it years ago when we stayed at the Polynesian. In fact, I liked it so much that I now buy 1 lb. bags of Kona direct from Hawaii, and I also have the Flying Fish Cafe coffee sold by Joffrey’s, which I have yet to try but I’m sure it will be great also. Thanks for mentioning one of my favorite drinks!

  3. WDW needs quality coffee shops, very surprised there aren’t any, I would love a good cafe mocha or cappuccino in the Parks.

  4. DH used to love getting the Kona coffee at the coffee bar but a few years ago they said they could no longer do that? Can you get it there again? That would be so awesome and he would be thrilled!!

  5. Before our trip last month, I read your article about little known treasures in DHS, one of them being The Writers Stop coffee shop. You should have seen my little party searching for it… it was hilarious! I KNEW it was there somewhere…. ah hah!! Once we found it, we were hooked. Spent several hours of our trip tucked away, sipping our mochachinos!! My sisters and I enjoyed the quiet retreat (and the coffee) very much – thanks Chip!!!

  6. I love coffee… as long as it’s BREWED. Call me a coffee snob, but the Nescafe you find almost everywhere in Disney World makes me turn up my nose and refuse the caffeine fix I so desperately need. A while back I found a list someone like myself had made on where to find brewed coffee on property. I keep it with me on every trip to make sure I get a good cup-a-joe each morning (and afternoon if needed). Also, I always ask for a “to-go” cup for my leftover coffee at Kona Cafe and Kouzzina because I LOVE the presspot coffee!

  7. I like getting an iced mocha from the Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square! There’s a quiet walkway to Fantasyland and a beautiful view of the castle! It’s nothing special coffee, but it’s location makes it special!

  8. Oooo! We just got back from a week in Disney and I took tons of Starbucks VIA packs & just made some of my own coffee that I already absolutely love. I’d even pop the VIA packs in my backpack for when we had breakfasts out and would make them at the table. I’d just ask for a pot of hot water. It worked like a champ! With all the fabulous partnerships Disney has secured (like H2O+ at the hotels, Coke throughout the property, their old partnership with McDonalds for their fries, etc.) I can’t figure out for the life of me why they haven’t buddied up with Starbucks! It’s mindboggling. It would be a win-win for everyone – Disney, Starbucks and all the Starbucks-loving tourists like me! 🙂
