AK Tree Adults

My favorite WDW trip souvenir by far is always the photos I take – I love capturing moments and memories, and I love that there are so many great places to do so at Disney! There’s obviously the more popular places like in front of Cinderella’s Castle, or the Tree of Life (my family clearly loves to pose there, don’t we look cute?!) – but there are tons of other places to snap a great picture too – so here are my Top 5 “Off The Beaten Path” Photo Op Spots:

photoop CastleSide

The front of Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom is beautiful, but can definitely be crowded and tough to get a decent shot without a ton of extras in the background. I like to head over towards Liberty Square and get a picture posed by the side of the Castle on the bridge – it tends to be mostly empty, and is pretty beautiful at night when the Castle is all lit up

photoop Rose

Another alternative to the busy Partners statue area in front of the Castle is to head towards Tomorrowland to the Rose Garden – where you’ll find adorable topiaries and a perfect place to pose with your special someone!

photoop TofT

When you head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, your first instinct may be to pose for a group shot in front of the Sorcerer’s Hat – which is nice of course, but since I am a HUGE Tower of Terror fan – I actually prefer to get my picture taken in front of the Hollywood Tower Hotel instead – it is easy to get both people and the Hotel in the background, and it’s a very pretty area to take a picture in

PhotoOp GreatMovie

Another great spot to snap some pictures is over at The Great Movie Ride in Hollywood Studios – the building itself is beautiful and great backdrop for posed shots, but I personally really enjoy getting some fun shots of my family and I putting our hands and feet in the celebrity impressions in front of the building. Have everyone in your family take a look around and get a picture of them trying to match their hands up to their fave celeb!

photoop Everest

Mount Everest is the giant mountain that houses the awesome Expedition Everest ride (which you must check out if you haven’t – it’s a roller coaster that even goes backwards!) over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and if you stop on your way there you can get a great shot across the water with the mountain in the distance (and if you listen closely, you might just be able to hear the screams of the Everest riders as they encounter the elusive Yeti!). On a clear day the sun gleams off the water and makes it a perfect spot to take a family photo

Not sure how to find these or other photo op spots? Just look for the Disney PhotoPass photographers – they can help make sure you get a great picture that will be perfect for framing or for your vacation album!

  1. Love the one of Everest. My family goes there a lot too. Last year we got a shot with my 3-year-old daughter holding Tinker Bell with Everest in the background.
