There is so much more to see and do at Walt Disney World than just four theme parks and the downtown area. We will be exploring all the “extra perks” that they have offer including tours, behinds the scenes and special little events throughout the year. Join us as we continue through the Animal Kingdom.

Wild Africa Trek

A privately guided VIP expedition offering close encounters with exotic African wildlife in their native habitat.

It’s a thrilling safari adventure..

Roam with wild animals on this 3-hour safari trek through the Safi River Valley at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park.

The Journey
See yawning hippos and hissing crocodiles just 10 feet below as you make your way across a shaky rope bridge, secured to an overhead track with a safety harness. Ride in a rugged safari vehicle over an open savanna teeming with native African creatures, from towering giraffes to powerful rhinos.

On your journey, your knowledgeable guide will share little-known insights on the majestic animals on view as well as the general operation of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park.

Candid Photo Ops
A professional photographer will also be taking pictures throughout, so feel free to relax and spend some quality time, up close and personal with the animals of the Harambe Reserve. At the end of your expedition, you’ll receive your CD loaded with memories.

  1. I highly recommend this!! We have been on the tour twice now and absolutely LOVE it! The staff is awesome and very knowledgeable. We had two adults, two teens and one younger child (9) when we went and we all enjoyed every bit of it. We go to Disney once or twice a year and this is now a must do on at least one trip. Really, we LOVE it! Thank you!

  2. I went on the Wild Africa Trek about a year and a half ago. It was very interesting and a refreshing change of pace from the parks. The guides were well informed and seemed to really enjoy guiding the tours. I was a bit disappointed in the snack stop at the Boma. They gave you wonderful, exotic foods to try, but it felt very rushed. You almost had to choose between eating the snack, or looking out at the savannah and taking photos of the animals. I was also disappointed in the photo CD included with the tour. You receive photos of everyone in your tour group, so if you can arrange to go with other friends, it would be much better than having photos of people you don’t know! I do like that part of the tour fee goes toward conservation, and you get to choose which animals in particular you would like to support, but I still felt the fee was a bit high for what the experience entailed. I am fortunate enough to have been on safari in Africa and can say this was quite a nice experience. We definitely were closer to hippos on this tour than we were in Africa because of safety concerns in the wild!
