Opening Summer 2016-Universal’s Islands of Adventure – “Skull Island: Reign of Kong”

KING KONG IS BACK!!

On May 6^th Universal Orlando officially announced that Skull Island: Reign of Kong will open in the summer of 2016 at the Islands of Adventure theme park. Construction is already in full motion adjacent to the Jurassic Park area of the park. Over the last 25 years, Universal Orlando has created some truly amazing entertainment experiences. They do this by combining the storytelling with the timeless characters and innovative ride technologies.

King Kong, is one of the most monumental and very unforgettable figures in movie history, and to have him BACK at Universal Orlando is something I know a lot of fans have wanted for many years.

I’m going to be the FIRST in line for the opening of this groundbreaking attraction in the summer of 2016 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Even the name is menacing, Skull Island: Reign of Kong!

Now let’s talk about the actual ride, Skull Island: Reign of Kong will feature “revolutionary” vehicles, taking guests on a journey throughout Skull Island, across huge sets.

Your experience begins as you navigate deep into the jungle, explore the mysterious world of this new land, and an ancient temple structures. During your adventure you many encounter hostile natives as you brave foreboding caves concealing unspeakable terrors, and crawling with prehistoric creatures. That’s just the beginning! You’ll come face to face with the colossal King Kong himself!
