One of my absolute favorite desserts at Walt Disney World is Ohana‘s Bread Pudding with Bananas Foster Sauce at the Polynesian Resort. I have eaten this treat over 20 times and we always make it a point to stop here on EVERY Disney World visit.
Last week I awoke to an email from my writer Pixie Brenda who delivered to me some sad news..
Chip,
There is no more bread pudding with bananas foster sauce at Ohana. They changed it to pineapple coconut bread pudding with caramel sauce.
Not nearly as good!
Also
They are under new mgmt so had some food changes. Others include chicken instead of turkey and the sauce on the pork is different.
*Update – So far there is still no change on the menu printed outside, still bread pudding with banana caramel sauce. I have heard mixed reports as they haven’t officially changed to this dessert that it is still being tested. So its hard to say what you will end up with…
I want to hear your thoughts on this change. Should Disney have left well enough alone? Or was it time for a change?

We were just there this past Wednesday, and we had the bread puddin with bananas foster sauce !! yummy !!
I loved it when the dessert was pineapple wedges with caramel dipping sauce. Was a little disappointed when they changed it to bread pudding, but that turned out to be enjoyable too. I’d definitely try the new one. That is, if I could ever get a reservation when we have plans to go there.
Ugh, I loved that dessert and I don’t like foods with bananas in them or bread pudding! The new one doesn’t sounds as good to me, but, I was disappointed when they took away the fresh pineapple with caramel sauce and I ended up liking the bread pudding even more…so I guess I’ll just have to wait until I try it to pass judgement. I’m not holding much hope though.
Chip, It’s Christmas, not April fools!! Tell me this is a joke. How could Disney not read all the great reviews on the Bread pudding. hummm, just like the got rid of the great potatoes a few yrs ago!! This is so sad!!
Loved the banana bread pudding but personally
