It has just been announced that Disney will be offering a new dessert party at Epcot! Riding on the huge success of The Tomorrowland Dessert Party, The IllumiNations Dessert Party will open for booking on March 12th, with the grand opening on March 15th. Guests will enjoy IllumiNations from World Showcase Plaza while sampling decadent desserts from around the world. International Sparkling wines will also be available in the exclusive and intimate setting to be paired with the desserts.

This is a great way to top off the day at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival, or a hot summer day around the World Showcase. As of the writing of this article no end date of the experience has been announced.

The dessert party will be held at Port Of Entry. This is the area right next to the lake by the two stores, most of you have seen the Duffy meet and greet in this area. I believe it’s either in the same place as the Illuminations fast pass+ or right next to and since that is case, I can see why they state no seating. There is no way to see Illuminations with standard tables, due to the height of the bushes along the fence.

Here’s a list of the dessert that will be offered:

Italy – Tiramisú
France – Vanilla Pot de Crème
United Kingdom – Shortbread Cookies
Morocco – Traditional Baklava
America – Little Cronis (Croissant Doughnuts)
Disney Parks – Ice Cream Novelties
International Sparkling Wines

  1. Great idea but without the seats we will by pass this one. We love the Tomorrowland Dessert Party. It’s just relaxing to sit and enjoy the fireworks and the strawberries are the best! With this one at Epcot I love the idea of the desserts from the different counties but it sounds like at this point its only five. So we are really paying for the wine and we aren’t wine drinkers. Add some more desserts and some seats & we’ll give it a go.

  2. The idea is good but the execution sounds horrible! Way too high of a price for the limited number of desserts and no seating. No way!

  3. I was excited right up until I saw “no seating.” While we loved the Tomorrowland Dessert Party, the seating is what really made this experience wonderful. By the end of the day, everyone wanted a seat and this made the experience wonderful. Of all the experiences at WDW, this one was among the most memorable and popular among our family of seven, including 4 teens. Even for the expense, we highly recommend it.

  4. This looks kind of sad, actually. Limited desserts (5 kinds? Really?), no seating, expensive. I’ll pass!

  5. Argh – the lack of seating clinched it as a no-go for me. Years ago, as a business function, I attended a private dessert reception outside of Rose and Crown after the Candlelight Processional and before IllumiNations – it was wonderful. But I won’t consider booking it without seating 🙁

  6. Juggling desserts, wine glasses, bags, packages, and kids at the end of a long day at the Parks… all while standing… no thank you.

  7. Would definitely have done this if there was seating – I’m getting too old to stand for these things anymore.

  8. Count me in! Love the Tomorrowland Terrace one. I’m getting old – I need to sit down to watch parades and fireworks and I hate having to get there two hours before they start. I’ll be trying to get this one the next time we go which is NOT soon enough :o)
