It's a Small World 50th

On April 10th the iconic “It’s a Small World” celebrates it’s 50th anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been around that long. Disney World celebrated with a worldwide sing-a-long.

Park goers could join the chorus that happened before the afternoon parade. If you weren’t there you could go to smallworld50.com and watch others who have joined the sing-along online.

Here are some pictures from the celebration:

Did you know that Walt Disney himself helped create the iconic small world ride to honor UNICEF at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York.  The ride is not the most technologically advanced ride but yet people still love it today just as much as they did years ago. I am sure all of the adorable dolls help keep the ride so popular.

I thought you might also enjoy seeing Walt Disney open the ride in 1966.
