Hey there guys and gals Anonymouse here.

I have some interesting Gossip today. No I am not talking about Fall 2012 Free Dining Deals coming next Thursday, or how 2013 Packages can be booked on July 11th. I am talking Parades. My favorite shirt at Disney World is the one that says “What time is the 3 o’clock parade.” Hilarious!

This gossip comes from a very reliable source and I have it on good authority it is not Chip. It seems Main Street Electrical Parade has worn out its welcome at Walt Disney World. Come next April it will be getting the boot for good ‘ol Spectro Magic.

You remember that night time parade right? If not here is a video from 2010.

No word on if it will be the same classic we have grown to love or if it will be revamped for 2013. Which has me wondering why are you replacing an old parade for another old parade? With all new stuff going on in Disneyland why not bring some of that technology to Disney World? Am I right?

According to the calendar on the Disney Website, MSEP is continuing through end of april. It mentions nothing about Spectro.

I love the MSEP, but I have to say I love SpectoMagic even more. For the majority of my trips to WDW growing up, SpectroMagic was the parade at MK. So it seems extra magical to me and I LOVE the soundtrack!

I got to see the MSEP for the first time this summer and I LOVED IT! I grew up with Spectromagic, so it means a lot to me, but having seen Spectro for so many years, MSEP was a great change! I’ll miss it when it’s gone!

The Electric Parade is my favorite and what I grew up watching, but Spectromagic is a good one too. I’m excited we’ll be at the parks in December and my kids will get to enjoy the MSEP before it gets the boot again!

When it comes to Disney classics, I’m quite alright with skipping the new technology for the old! I am not one of those people that collects every little Disney tchochke, but I still have some of the old “lights” from the original Electrical Light Parade that they put in glass cases and sold. I am not even a die-hard fan of Disney parades in general, but I will always have a fondness for the ELP!

This sucks! I am so tired of Disney getting rid of all the good classic rides and parades. I might have to let my pass expire and go buy one for Universal instead!

I have seen both parades and I prefer the Main Street Electrical Parade. I love the music and the characters (I’m a big fan of Tinkerbell).

Hooray!! Although I do love the Main Street Electrical Parade, I have missed Spectromagic. Wasn’t there a year where WDW showed both parades (at different times)? I am thinking it was around the year 2000 when Main Street Electrical Parade was going into “retirement.”
