Rumor has it that Walt Disney World is about to make a lot of people very happy, and no not just Chip, many more Disney fans very happy…and make those at Universal Studios not so happy. Many of you thought that Disney World’s answer to Universal Studios, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, was just the Fantasyland Expansion. Was it going to be enough to counter Universal with? Who knows, but looks like we do not need to end it there. The one-two…three rumor punch is that in addition to the Fantasyland Expansion, and Avatarland at Animal Kingdom, that Disney is going to be bringing the award winning (okay not yet maybe but many future awards) Cars Land to Hollywood Studios.
Of course this is strictly rumor at this point, and will take a few years to complete, but we have it on good authority that Cars Land is coming to the Studios and replacing Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show.

Cars land should stay at California Adventure. Disney world has already soo much.
I hope this cars land does not go to disney hollywood studios. Its not fair that disney world has a lot of things california doesn’t have. Carsland should be exclusive to disney california adventure only

Actually, Test Track is closed and will now be a simulator ride- definitely NOT the same thing!
We just went to DL for the first time and visited Cars Land- it was amazing! I’d love to see it at WDW, though, because we like to visit the parks in Florida better. Plus, the lines for Radiator Springs Racers were CRAZY! We rode it once while we were there and that was all the time we were willing to invest.

I love the idea of Cars Land at Hollywood Studios! I think they definitely need more attractions there…I think something with Phineas and Ferb would be cool, more than just what they currently have…enough princesses etc…something more needed for boys!
it would maybe make toy story mania calm down a lot. I also would love any reason to stay at disney and not have to leave property to see more stuff. yeah
I sure hope this is true because it will surely make me want to go to DHS! I have yet to go back since I was a kid because it didn’t hold enough for the whole family to love.. my DH is not so big into the “fast” and “intense” rides like Rockin Rollercoaster or ToT! This will be perfect!! I so hope it’s true!!

I would love to see some Cars rides but also other Pixar things. My kids love all the Pixar movies Ratatouille and Wall-E too! So would love to see something that has all the Pixar movies involved.
DHS could use some new life and new attractions. I would love to see Carsland come to WDW! Chances of me making it to Anaheim to visit Disney and see Cars land there is slim, but WDW, which is closer to me, well that is a GO!

I think this is wonderful!! But I wish HS would add more Pixar in general. There are so many awesome Pixar movies that are not represented anywhere. Anyone else have a little one that LOVES Wall-E?

This is great, bored with Cars, Motors Action. I love watching Cars Land on the Disney channel when they have showed clips of it. Great additions and gives me more reasons to go back.
Another website (http://www.epcyclopedia.com/) is reporting that Disney filed permits to revamp the tram tour. Maybe this might tie into the new carsland.
Cant they leave well enough alone? Stop transplanting rides and do something creative and new on their own. The more the parks start to mirror each other the less and less I want to actually head down to Walt Disney World. Plus the one ride that everyone wants down there should not go in because they already have test track. Just so everyone knows I love carsland, It is very well done though i wish they didnt make a land in the DLR around one specific movie, I thought it should be more general with cars things in it. Like a route 66 land, or some type of desert type land. The cars rides and store could fit right into those lands well enough.
that will be perfect! studios needs some “oomph” to compete with the other parks. star tours, tower of terror and rockin roller coaster aren’t very kid friendly so it’s more of a teenager/adult park. I think it’d help with crowd control at the other parks to even out the playing field between parks (though MK will always be a favorite!)
Ok I am now deaf in my right ear… My 6 year old son just screamed with excitement as I was reading this story to him! I hope this is true, it will be a great addition to Hollywood Studios!
