???????????????????????????????

Sometimes while you’re touring the WDW Parks, you don’t have the time to stop and sit down and have a table service meal – but you still want something delicious – so what do you do? Counter Service eateries to the rescue! They’re a great way to grab a fast, fresh meal – and there are tons of places to choose from! I recently wrote about places to grab a quick bite at both the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom – and today I want to explore the different counter service options at Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

ABC Commissary – This eatery is full of ABC memorabilia from current and past shows, and it has a HUGE indoor seating area (which is nice on a hot day, but can be noisy too!). Choose from menu options like: Asian Salad, Couscous and Quinoa salads, shrimp and fish platters, a cheeseburger, and a chicken club

Backlot Express – Located in the backlot area of the Studios (aptly named, right?), this eatery features a huge shaded section of tables and a pretty decent menu – Southwest salad, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, chili dog, turkey and vegetable sandwiches are all delicious options to try. The restaurant itself is made to look like a big prop warehouse – so it’s a pretty cool place to explore and check out what is being “stored” there!

Starring Roles Café – Breakfast time options here include a variety of coffee drinks, as well as assorted pastries and bagels. There are only a few actual “meals” served here – assorted sushi (tuna, shrimp. Combo platter), ham and turkey sandwiches – but the star of the show is at this café is definitely dessert! Amazing cakes, cookies, fudge, and cupcakes are on display here – and they are GOOD! So save room for dessert when you come to this spot (or have dessert for lunch – no judgment here!), and try and come at an off time, as there isn’t a ton of seating (and NO indoor tables, it’s a small place!). It’s hard for me to walk by without running in and buying 18 butterfinger cupcakes – but I usually manage to resist the urge…

Toy Story Pizza Planet – This is definitely a family friendly place that kids will LOVE – its got two levels of indoor seating, and the décor is very arcade like – oh, and like an arcade – there are a ton of video games here too! A great thing to distract the kids while the adults wait for their food Assorted adult and kid size pizzas – pepperoni, cheese, veggie, meat lovers, as well as a Meatball sub and antipasto salad are all on the menu

Studio Catering Company – There are some unique and tasty options available here – sloppy joes, buffalo chicken sandwich, turkey club, and a toasted Tuscan-style sandwich with salami and pepperoni, plus there’s a ton of shaded seating which is great for those who have had a long day on their feet! Oh, and if it’s after lunch time you can even grab a drink next door at “high octane refreshments” – frozen margarita anyone?

Fairfax Fare – This spot is easy to miss when you’re on your way to the Tower Of Terror – but you will want to make sure to keep an eye out for it, as it’s a great option for all three meals! A hot breakfast is available – with options including an egg and cheese muffin, cereal, cinnamon roll, yogurt, etc to help start your day off right! Later in the day you will find chicken and spare ribs, pork sandwich, chili dog, pork and macaroni and cheese topped hot dogs on the menu – all of which make for a hearty meal that will keep you full and ready to hit more rides!

Rosie’s All American Café – Named after Rosie the Riveter, you’ll see wartime-era signs and décor around the ordering area. It’s setup like an outdoor food court, where you can get your food and then head over to a nice garden area with some umbrellas and covered seating. You’ll find a Black bean burger, hamburger and onion straw cheeseburger, and a soup of the day on the menu here

Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers tons of amazing attractions, and lucky for you there are plenty of places to grab a quick bite so that you can get right back to enjoying the action! I personally love Starring Roles Café and everything about it – but I would love to know what you think – where do you like to grab a counter service meal while at DHS?

Stay tuned for more places to grab a grab a quick bite in the World!
