A quick heads up to all you readers planning a drive to Walt Disney World over the next few days. I’m just back from my visit to the Mouse and noticed a hefty bit of roadworks happening along the usual routes taking guests in and around Walt Disney World Resort.
As also reported by the DIS, the most notable area of construction is occurring at the already problematic junction between Bonnet Creek Parkway and Buena Vista Drive.
As of going to print the southbound side of the parkway is closed between Overpass Road and Buena Vista Drive. In addition, drivers will not be able to make left hand turns onto Bonnet Creek Parkway from Buena Vista Drive if heading eastbound (which is out toward the Disney Springs area).
The construction, looks like more of an inconvenience to Epcot Cast Members who park in the parking lot as you must now turn right onto Backstage Lane and then left onto Buena Vista Parkway to access Disney Springs.
The DIS is reporting that construction is set to wrap at 6am tomorrow morning but it should be noted that there could be delays impacting visitors and cast members into the weekend.
