Million Dollar Arm

Walt Disney Pictures releases the video trailer for their newest movie, Million Dollar Arm.  Starring Jon Hamm as sports agent JB Bernstein and Alan Arkin as a retired baseball scout.   The movie is about Hamm’s efforts to save his career and find the next major league star pitcher.   To find his star, Hamm and Arkin travel to India to produce a show called Million Dollar Arm, a reality show that will consist of a series of competitions to find the best pitcher in India.    The reality show helps Hamm discover two potential 18 year olds,  Dinesh (played by Madhur Mittal from “Slumdog Millionaire”) and Rinku (played by Suraj Sharma from “Life of Pi”).  Athough the two young men have never played baseball and don’t know the game, they have an amazing fastball.   Hamm decides to bring them to America hoping to sign them up and make them stars regardless of their lack of baseball knowledge.  Thus begins an adventure where the boys learn all about baseball and living in the states and Hamm learns about teamwork, committment and what family is really all about.

Walt Disney Pictures’ Million Dollar Arm stars Jon Hamm, Aasif Mandvi, Suraj Sharma, Lake Bell, Madhur Mital, Pitobash and Alan Arkin.  Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Tom McCarthy.

Million Dollar Arm will be in theaters, May 16, 2014.
