According to Variety, Tom Hanks is in talks to play Walt Disney in the movie “Saving Mr. Banks”. Emma Thompson is reportedly in negotiations to play Mary Poppins author P.L. Travers. Â John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) is set to direct.
The film will be based on the true story of how Walt Disney spent 14 years convincing the author to let him adapt her book into a movie. I fell in love with the idea of this movie when I first heard about it. I am huge Mary Poppins fan and I am looking forward to seeing Walt portrayed on the big screen.
