Just in time for holiday delivery!  Growing up there were several Holiday movies that were required viewing.  Of course without DVDs, DVRs or Digital Downloads, you actually had to sit down as a family and watch at a specific time.  After consulting the TV Guide of course!  Perhaps that is why I have such fond memories of Babes in Toyland and looking forward to watching it on Newly Restored Blu-Ray.

For the first time on Disney Blue-RayTM with new digital restoration, celebrate the 1961 Classic Disney Musical, Babes in Toyland, Produced by Walt Disney himself and starring Annette Funicello.  Available December 11, 2012, just in time for your family to create a holiday tradition.

Summary:

Tom the Piper’s Son is about to marry Mary Quite Contrary.  On the eve of their wedding, evil miser Barnaby hires two henchmen to drown Tom and steal Mary’s sheep, cared for by Little Bo Peep.  Then Mary and the children she lives with, will be deprived of their livelihood, forcing her to marry Barnaby.  The sheep are stolen, but Gonzorgo and Rodderigo, Barnaby’s henchmen, double-cross him by selling Tom to a band of gypsies instead.  This leaves Tom the opportunity to escape and make his way with Mary, Bo-Peep, and the other Mother Goose characters to Toyland.
