On a recent Friday morning, I drove over to the famous Beverly Hills Hotel for the Saving Mr. Banks Press Conference. As I pulled into the valet , I had a sudden feeling of deja vu. Home Where Walt Disney was Born to be Preserved

The house where Walt Disney and his brother Roy were born, in Chicago, is being preserved. It was sold to a California Couple who says they are going to make it an historic landmark.The home is located in the Hermosa neighborhood, at 2156 N. Tripp Ave. They plan to turn the home into a historical site, museum and community resource "with the mission of enhancing and exploring childhood creativity."The home was built by Disney’s father in 1893. Saving Mr. Banks Movie Screening

AFI Fest Opening Night Gala Screening of “Saving Mr. Banks”

D23 Presents Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives Event at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry

D23 unveiled a special exhibit Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives to honor the 90th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. On October 16,1923, The Disney Brothers Studio was founded and the official contract was signed by Walter E. Disney and Roy O. Disney with M.J. Winkler to produce the series of animated shorts the “Alice Comedies”.
