Disneyland Park Features Iron Man Tech, Presented by Stark Industries
Disneyland Innoventions is one of your favorite places to visit, right? Okay, maybe it’s not your first stop. Last? Ever? As a self-proclaimed Disney Geek, I know that Innoventions isn’t always on my list. All that has changed though. I bet you will get there right after rope drop now.
Disneyland Park Features ‘Iron Man’ Tech, Presented by Stark Industries. How cool is that? Do you want to check out Tony Stark’s Iron Man Hall of Armor? It’s here.
How about putting on your own Iron Man suit? Would that be appealing too? That’s right, head on into Innoventions and you can. Just remember to start at 1% Power, we don’t want anyone flying into the concrete walls.
Stark Tech Exhibit Opening in Disneyland on April 3, 2013
It looks like we might be getting our first small integration of Marvel in the Disneyland Resort, thanks to a new exhibit opening in Tomorrowland’s Innoventions. In anticipation of Marvel Studio’s ‘Iron Man 3′, the seventh film in their Marvel Cinematic Universe, they’ll be presenting guests with ‘Stark Tech Presented by Stark Industries’, which will give guests a chance to see seven suits of Iron Man armor, Mark I – Mark VII. On top of that, you’ll have a chance to virtually suit up, which gives you the chance to get to know what it would be like to control the Mark 42 armor, which is a new suit for this film.
It’s a pretty cool sounding exhibit, and I’m really excited to see it brought to life in Disneyland’s Innoventions. I’ve been waiting a long time to see Marvel to finally come to Disneyland, so it’s good to see the first small step finally get taken. Hopefully this means we’ll have more happening soon. The exhibit will open April 3, 2013.
‘Iron Man 3′stars Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall and James Badge Dale, and is directed by Shane Black. The film is set to open on May 3, 2013.

Has the Plot For Brad Bird’s ‘Tomorrowland’ Been Revealed?
Ever since Brad Bird’s new film, ‘Tomorrowland‘, originally thought to be titled ’1952′, has been announced, there has been so much speculation and rumor surrounding the project that it was impossible to figure out just what the film was possibly about. The most popular theory surrounding the film included it dealing with Walt Disney working with the government to help cover up UFOs, and that seemed to be gaining a lot of steam, with many thinking that George Clooney would be playing the middle aged Walt. The other was that Bird was directing ‘Star Wars Episode VII’, but that was debunked the moment that J.J. Abrams signed on to direct the highly anticipated follow up to the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy.
But now, it seems, that our friends over at Hitfix may have figured out just what ‘Tomorrowland’ is in their exclusive article. Now, this contains what could be for some major spoilers for some, so if you don’t want to know what the film might be about, don’t hit the jump. But for those who are curious to jump ahead and get an idea of just what might be in store for this film, hit the jump to get a taste of what we may be seeing.
Hugh Laurie in Talks to Play Villain in Brad Bird’s ‘Tomorrowland’
The more I hear about Brad Bird’s upcoming sci-fi film, ‘Tomorrowland’, formally known as ’1952′, the more excited I become. The film already landed George Clooney to star, and now it looks like we may have our villain, and I think it’s the best choice possible. The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned Hugh Laurie is in talks to play the film’s villain. As of right now, the whole production is still is shrouded in secrecy, with the only indication of what to expect being that the film will be in the same vein of ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’. It makes sense that the film is shrouded in so much secrecy, since it’s written by Damon Lindelof, as many of his films and shows have that air of secrecy around them.
I love the choice of having Hugh Laurie play the villain in the film. He’s one of the finest actors currently working in Hollywood, and he has a presence that few actors can match. After his eight years on TV’s ‘House’, we know he can play a brilliant anti-hero, so I can’t wait to see him go full villain mode in this. Bird seems to be getting a rather strong cast to headline the film, and I can’t wait to learn more about what the film is going to be about. For now though, the thought of having Clooney and Laurie together on screen is something I’m very excited about. ‘Tomorrowland’ is set to open December 19, 2014. Are you excited about ‘Tomorrowland’? And how do you feel about Hugh Laurie being in the film? Let me know in the comments below, only here at Chip and Company!
