Selena Gomez possibly starring in new movie “What Boys Want”
Disney teen phenom Selena Gomez is reportedly in talks to unite with New Line Cinema for her next feature.
The 17-year-old is in negotionas to star in the upcoming comedy What Boys Want in which she will play a teenage girl who can hear what boys are thinking. Sounds like a teen version of the Mel Gibson’s What Woman Want..
Gomez stars in the popular cable series Wizards of Waverly Place and is currently on aboard to play Beezus Quimby for the upcoming Ramona and Beezus. The film is based on the children’s books from authoer Beverly Cleary.
Playing opposite best friend Demi Lovato in the films Princess Protection Program and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, Selena Gomez got her start as one of the kids on the children’s show Barney & Friends on PBS.
Selena Gomez Gets Her Own Fashion Line
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the Disney star and pop singer is collaborating with a creative team to design Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez. The line consists of “pretty, feminine and bohemian” clothes and accessories (made of eco-friendly and organic materials, natch) that are similar to the starlet’s own aesthetic.
These days when a celebrity announces a fashion venture, we’re usually like, “Whatever—join the club, everybody’s got one.”
But the 17-year-old actress is one of the best-dressed junior fashionistas in Hollywood, and she seems like a genuinely nice young lady, so we’re kind of excited to see what she has to offer.

Disney Channel will present the world premiere of Selena Gomez and The Scene’s first music video, “Falling Down,†from their upcoming debut album, “Kiss & Tell,†FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 following the premiere of “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie.†“Falling Down,†the band’s first single, will debut as a Radio Disney Planet Premiere FRIDAY, AUGUST 21.
The music video for the energetic pop-rock song was directed by Chris Dooley (Jewel “Stand,†The Scissor Sisters “Land of a Thousand Wordsâ€) and features Gomez and her four member all-guy band on a black circular stage rocking out in front of a large projection of patterned animated images towering in the background. “Falling Down†was written by Ted Bruner, Trey Vittetoe and Gina Shock.
Gomez’s freshman album “Kiss & Tell†releases worldwide Tuesday, September 29 on Hollywood Records. “Falling Down†will be available as a digital single on iTunes August 25.
