What’s the Height Requirement at WDW?

Whats the Height Requirement at WDW?

Some of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World have a height requirement for the younger guests.  The reasons are for safety and age appropriateness.  While most of the attractions don’t have height minimums, the shortest you can be to experience these attractions is between 38 and 48 inches.  While many parents try to make their child taller by stuffing their shoes or buying thick soled shoes, I suggest you don’t.  The only one who will potentially be hurt is your child.

Here is a list of attractions by park and the height requirements:

Magic Kingdom

  • Goofy’s Barnstormer – 35″
  • Stitch’s Great Escape – 40″
  • Splash Mountain – 40″
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 40″
  • Space Mountain – 44″
  • Tomorrowland Indy Speedway – 54″ to drive your own car, 32″ to drive with a rider who is over 54″

Avoid these Rides If You Are Prone To Motion Sickness

Avoid these Rides If You Are Prone To Motion Sickness

Motion sickness is something that can really mess up your day. Some folks are extremely susceptible and they either have to skip some of Walt Disney World’s best attractions or find a treatment that helps keep you from getting that horrible queasy feeling (or worse).

There are as many ways to calm motion sickness as there are people with that issue. I can’t recommend any but I have found one that works for me so before you go experimenting you might want to check with your Doctor to see what she/he recommends. If you don’t want to go that route, here are six rides I would caution you to avoid.

Top Five Animal Kingdom Attractions For Adults

Top Five Animal Kingdom Attractions For Adults

Let me start this off by saying that I didn’t used to like Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I thought it was just a big zoo and found it to honestly be a little boring. I had only been once before, right after it had opened when all the attractions weren’t even completed, so I got to thinking, maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance. So when I visited Walt Disney World last month, I vowed to visit Animal Kingdom with open eyes and an open mind.

We started our day with breakfast at Tusker House – which was really delicious, they offered the typical disney breakfast buffet, and had some more traditional African choices as well, including bobotie (a quiche-like beef pie with egg, curry and other spices), mealie pap (similar to cream of wheat, and other delicious choices. It is a character meal, where Donald greets you upon arrival, and Daisy (whom we really enjoyed seeing, can you tell??), Goofy, Mickey and Minnie circulate the dining room while you eat. It’s loud and full of children and families, and we had a great time there. Once we were nice and full, it was time to give Animal Kingdom a second chance…
