Disney Publishing Launches Digital Edition of Disney Junior Magazine
Disney Junior is a staple in my house and in the homes of many other families with small children. Because of this, the announcement yesterday from Disney Publishing World Wide that their new digital magazine, Disney Junior, will be hitting Apple Newsstands soon has been met with great excitement!
Andrew Sugerman, executive vice president, Disney Publishing Worldwide had this to say about the innovative new magazine, “The demand for high quality content has never been greater. As the use of tablet devices continues to grow, it is a natural next step for us as the world’s largest children’s publisher, to find different ways of extending Disney’s stories to multiple digital formats. Disney Junior allows families to immerse themselves in the stories and characters they love wherever and whenever they choose.”
The magazine will be available by digital subscription or single issues. Disney Junior features enhanced content from the print magazine and some really fantastic interactive features. These features include coloring, tracing, drag and drop, matching and games and puzzles. There will be 12 issues per year with two special additions dedicated to Disney Junior property such as “Sofia the First” and Jake and the Neverland Pirates” in the summer and fall respectively.

12 Adventures Featuring Perry the Platypus and His Animal Comrades
How well does anyone really know their pet…or ANY animal? Behind a cute and/or cuddly exterior there may lurk a cunning crime-fighter with a brown fedora, a top-secret identity, and a license to thrill!
Perry the Platypus, family pet of the Flynn-Flethchers, may seem like an animal who “doesn’t really do much,” but when no one’s looking and before anyone asks, “Where’s Perry?” he dashes down a hidden passage to answer the O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym) call. In Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents, Perry—aka Agent P—is joined onscreen by his fellow secret animal avengers in 12 different episodes of the popular animated television series.
Adventures include:

Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh Talk Phineas & Ferb
In anticipation of the all-new Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents—releasing to DVD on February 26, 2013—I had the opportunity to interview the show’s creators and co-executive producers, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh.
Since it was a phone interview, they began by identifying themselves, so I would know who was speaking when. I told them if they would just speak in character, I’d have no trouble…so they greeted me as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Major Frances Mongram! That set the tone for the very friendly conversation that follows.
Here’s what the guys had to say about the show in general, the new production, and what’s in the works.
JW: Good afternoon! Thanks for speaking with me today! My kids and my husband and I are all huge Phineas and Ferb fans, and it’s great to have this chance to talk to you. I have read that it took you guys 16 years of pitching the show to various producers before Disney picked it up? Is that so?
P&M: Yeah, it was about 13 years before someone finally took a look at it, and then another couple years of negotiating and working out the details before it actually aired, so yeah, about 15 or 16 years total—1993 to 2008.
