Check out Princess Etch A Sketch by Jane Labowitch
If you’re like me, you’ve enjoyed creating your own art on an Etch A Sketch. Turn the knobs, create a “magic screen”-full of art, then shake it up and start all over again. Never in my wildest dreams, though, could I imagine completing Etch A Sketch drawings like those created by Jane Labowitch.
Jane, a 21-year-old artist in Chicago who is known professionally by the nickname “Princess Etch A Sketch,” began playing with the famous Ohio Art drawing toy at age four. In fact, she says her love of the Etch A Sketch actually has some Disney roots, thanks to a boost from Disney’s animated classics.
“When I was young, soon after ‘Aladdin’ was released on VHS, I used to watch it at my grandma’s house while playing around with my Etch A Sketch,” she remembers. “And when I was a kid, all I could really draw were staircases. But what inspired me to draw more was the scene in ‘Aladdin’ where he has to walk up the long flight of stairs to retrieve the magic lamp. I used to draw that scene all the time. Soon, the staircases started looking more detailed, and the boxy Aladdin became more and more detailed as I practiced.”

New Capt. America Film Going Back To Ohio
Captain America is coming back to Ohio again as Marvel Studios announced that they will be filming the Captain America Sequel - Captain America: The Winter Soldier there next year.
Coming with the Captain will be more than 2,700 jobs including electricians, tailors and extras when the film starts production in February of ’13. Major film productions can also boost the economy including car rentals, hotel reservations, dining and supplies. The movie is slated for a Spring 2014 release date.
It wasn’t all the Captain’s doing as the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit gave a “superhero” $9.5 million dollar tax credit to Marvel Studios to film the latest sequel in the state. It’s estimated that Marvel will spend $35 million in Ohio while it is there. Filming locations will include Cleveland and unspecified locations in southern Ohio.
This isn’t the first Superhero sighting in the Buckeye State – Marvel filmed the 2011 blockbuster The Avengers in Ohio. Other movies filmed in Ohio in recent years include The Ides of March and Unstoppable.

Ohio Cat Goes On Disney Trip With Owner in her luggage!
An Ohio woman had a quite a surprise when her black cat Bob-bob popped out of her suitcase after checking into her hotel on her Disney trip Monday night!
Apparently Bob-bob wanted to go to Walt Disney World with his owner Ethel Maze, so he managed to stow away in her suitcase. Maze was traveling with a group of disabled veterans and volunteers as part of an annual trip. He proceeded thru screening at Port Columbus International Airport and made it undetected (and unhurt) all the way to her hotel room.
No word on if Bob-bob has met Mickey Mouse yet…
