FastPass+ Testing at Fantasmic! April 22nd 27th

Hello to all my friends at Chip and Co.! It’s me again, Anonymouse! There has been plenty of Disney gossip and rumors lately and you all know I want to share them with my Chip and Co. friends! This time, I have new MyMagic+ updates to share with all of you! I know everyone has been wondering what the future of MyMagic+ will be and when testing will begin for each phase. We’re all excited to see the new FastPass+ and Magic Bands that will be created with the new MyMagic+ system.

As most of you know, annual passholders now have plastic passes encoded with an RFID chip that allow them to begin using the MyMagic+ system. A Senate committee also passed a new ticket law which will protect the MagicBands that Disney will be using for the new MyMagic+ system, allowing them to proceed with their plans.

Senate Committee Approves New Ticket Law

Senate Committee Approves New Ticket Law

Do you remember our article just last week explaining that Disney World needed Florida legislature to re-write the current ticket laws to protect the new MyMagic+ system? The proposed legislation also increased punishment for violations of laws on selling fraudulent tickets. Well, just this week, a Senate committee has now approved the new ticket law! This bill was supported by all three major Orlando theme parks including the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando, and Sea World Orlando.

There are two major changes for penalties to individuals caught selling fraudulent tickets. The fine had previously been limited to $500 and is now a maximum of $10,000. Repeat offenders will now face felony charges rather than misdemeanors.

Updates & Details on Disneys My Magic+

Hey there guys and gals Anonymouse here. I have been looking high and low for some gossip today and not only have I found a tidbit of new information but I think it will help answer some questions that I don’t think Chip could.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts  are always looking for ways to take what they do and do it even better. In the coming months they will be testing and rolling out a collection of tools at the Walt Disney World Resort called Disney’s My Magic+ that will give Guests more opportunities to customize and personalize your entire visit.

The goal of MyMagic+ is to make it easier for Guests to create the Disney experience you’ve been dreaming of-from securing a visit to your favorite attraction in advance… to a digital guide that simplifies how they move through the Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Theme Parks… to the touch of a MagicBand that seamlessly connects all your plans-allowing you to enjoy each moment like never before.

Here is a look at some of the key features of MyMagic+. Here at Chip and Co we will be sharing more information as these become available to you over the coming year.

Taking the Disney Guest Experience to the Next Level by adding My Magic+

Disney officially releases all new details on the My Magic+ system on their blog today. This should be interesting to see how they are able to roll out this new service.  Here is the article from Disney Parks Blog.

At Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, we continually push the boundaries of creativity and innovation to deliver the best possible experience for our guests. We’re always looking for ways to take what we do and do it even better. Over the past few years, we’ve devoted considerable time and resources to create a more immersive, more seamless and more personal experience for each and every guest who spends time with us. I know there’s been significant speculation about these efforts among our fans, so we’re pleased to give you a glimpse into the work we are doing to take the entire Disney guest experience to the next level.

Some of these initiatives are more apparent and can already be seen by our guests – like our interactive queues at Walt Disney World Resort and the Enchanted Art on our cruise ships – while others are more behind-the-scenes and are focused on “how” visitors plan, access and enjoy their experiences with us. Over the next several months, we’ll be rolling out a collection of tools at the Walt Disney World Resort called MyMagic+ that will give guests more opportunities to customize and personalize their entire visit.
