Top Ten Ways to Eat a Mickey’s Premium Bar (AND Not Lose a Single Bite)

Top Ten Ways to Eat a Mickeys Premium Bar (AND Not Lose a Single Bite)

My absolute favorite thing to eat at Disney World is a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar.  I eat at least one a day when I am in the parks. I carefully devour the delectable crunch of the chocolaty exterior as I relish the velvety smooth vanilla ice cream.  Try as I might, this is one snack I just can’t seem to replicate outside of the parks.  I’ve purchased just about every single brand of similarly constructed ice cream bar and sadly, nothing compares.  So, today we are taking a look at enjoying ever last morsel of this park exclusive.  Join me as we look at the top ten ways to eat a Mickey’s Premium Bar (AND not lose a single bite).  Let’s get started!

10.  Eat your Mickey Bar at warp speed.

No casual snacking here!  Open that ice cream up with intent and eat.  No talking, no double tasking, JUST eating…FAST!  Chocolate that melts in your mouth is so much better than chocolate that melts everywhere else because you are taking your precious time!  Make it snappy and enjoy!

9.  Do it with style!

I have a technique for eating this tasty treat.  I stand, hunched over, feet shoulder width apart, Mickey Bar perched carefully over a safety net of napkins and wrapper.  This safety net allows any stray bits of chocolate coating to be salvaged. I’ve been talking about doing an entire post on this technique.  I’ll have to wait until I am back at Disney to this capture this through pictures.  I know you are on the edge of your seat (lol!).  Until then, hopefully this description is enough to save your snack!

How many of these Top 10 Disney Must Do’s have you done?

How many of these Top 10 Disney Must Dos have you done?

There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World that it’s pretty much impossible to experience it all! However, there are a few things that you have to do in order for your Disney World vacation to be complete. Curious? Check out my Top 10 Disney’s Must Do’s and let us know how many you have done!

10. Dole Whip - A Dole Whip is a rite of passage for many Disney guests, and a sweet relief from the heat! They can only be found at a few select spots, such as Aloha Isle at the Magic Kingdom and at Captain Cook’s at the Polynesian Resort; and my personal favorite is the Dole Whip Float. This pineapple flavored soft-serve just has to be experienced!

9. Epcot World Showcase - Epcot has lots for guests to see and experience; but every guest MUST spend some time at this park’s World Showcase. This part of the park offers various pavilions representing different countries from all over the world. In an afternoon, you can visit little pieces of different nations and experience their culture, history, architecture, products, and food!

8. Kilimanjaro Safaris - This Animal Kingdom attraction offers one of the coolest experiences at WDW, a realistic African safari! You will board a safari vehicle and drive through areas which truly look and feel like the African savanna. Here you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, elephants, lions, giraffes, and much more. Young and old will enjoy!

7. Wear Mouse Ears - Every guest who visits WDW must don their own pair of iconic Mouse Ears and sport them through the Disney parks. It’s part of the Disney experience! So be sure to get your own personalized ears and stroll proudly down Main Street U.S.A. because everyone is a kid again at WDW! Just try not to go broke at Mouse Gears!

Tastes So Good-Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars

Tastes So Good Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars

There is no denying that almost every visitor to Walt Disney World will get a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar during their trip.  They are just so good!  The question is why?  Why do you start to crave these bars even as you make your reservation?

The Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar is available at all the parks, usually at an ice cream cart or snack kiosk.  The bar is made by Nestle and is a Mickey head shaped vanilla ice cream on a stick.  Coated in chocolate goodness.  Very similar to a Dove Bar or Klondike.  Just not the same, so much better!

Is it because you are eating it in a Disney Park? Perhaps you are taking a few minutes to wind down after a few of your favorite rides.  Is it because it’s one of the best values for your snack credit?  There are so many choices.  Is there some secret ingredient besides the obvious?  Nothing noted on the wrapper.  Perhaps its the Pixie Dust.

Tip:  Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar is Gluten-free!

Sorry I can’t answer any of these questions for you.  If you’ve never had a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, you must indulge on your next trip!  Don’t believe the person who tells you it’s just like the ice cream you get at home.  They have obviously never had one, and probably are Dole Whip fans anyway.  Not that there is anything wrong with that.

These bars are so well-loved, Disney made a car air freshener in their honor.  Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars are featured on T-shirts and collectible pins.  So why question it, just eat it!  Trust me when I tell you that it makes the Chip & Co ”Tastes So Good” Hall of Fame!

Mickey Mom is a mom to 2 Wild Mickey’s, and in desperate need of a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar!

Top 5 Animal Kingdom Traditions

Top 5 Animal Kingdom Traditions

If you have been bitten by the Disney bug, then chances are you try to visit Walt Disney World as often as you can. If so, then you probably have some traditions that you must embrace each time you visit to make your trip complete. I have some Animal Kingdom traditions that I would like to share with you, and they just might be some of your traditions too!

5. Walk Through Asia-One of my favorite places at Animal Kingdom is Asia. For me, Disney is at its best in this part of the park in regards to detail, story, and experience! As I make my way towards Expedition Everest, it’s a tradition of mine to study the signs, the ruins and remains of the old village, as well as the construction projects going on and the references to the mythical yeti as I make my way towards Expedition Everest!

4. Tree of Life Picture-No matter how many times I’ve seen it, the Tree of Life never ceases to amaze. Once I walk out of the Oasis, I am awestruck every time; and it’s a tradition for me to snap a picture of the tree no matter how many times I’ve done it before!

3. Kilimanjaro Safaris-This attraction is one of Disney’s greatest attractions of all time and one of its most unique in that it’s actually alive! Not only do you get to see free roaming African wildlife, you also get to experience a taste of African and an African safari!  So for a complete Animal Kingdom experience, this attraction is one of my Animal Kingdom traditions!

2. Mickey Premium Bar-Disney regulars would agree that Animal Kingdom seems hotter than other parks; and since there is a lot to see and a lot of ground to cover, one of my traditions in order to keep cool is to snack on a Mickey Premium Bar!

1. Expedition Everest-One of my favorite WDW attractions, this Expedition Everst has two things that I really enjoy in a ride: a great story and great thrills! I even enjoy waiting in Expedition Everest‘s queue which seeminly transports me to a village in Nepal and is chock full of details! Naturally, it’s a tradition for me to throroughly study all I can in this attraction’s line and then enjoy a pulse-pounding ride forwards (and  backwards) down the mountain! It’s a must-do during my trips to Animal Kingdom.

Now it’s your turn! I want to hear your own Animal Kingdom traditions so be sure to leave a comment and share them with us!

6. Character Meal-Characters are a huge part of the magic at WDW; and one of the best ways to meet and interact with characters is at a Disney character meal. At certain restaurants at the parks and resorts, you can enjoy a meal while several Disney characters stop by to sign autographs and take pictures!

5. Tower of Terror-This attraction is one of the most famous of all the attractions at WDW, and is one of the best examples of Disney’s incredible imagineering. This traditional drop ride transports guests into an episode of the Twilight Zone television series; and not only is it fun, it’s definitely a memorable experience!

4. Mickey Premium Bar-This sweet, delicious treat is an ice cream bar covered in chocolate in the shape of Mickey Mouse! Every guest should take a break from pounding the pavement and enjoy this tasty, Mickey treat.

3. Parade-Everyone enjoys a good parade; and Disney takes them to a whole new level! Each Disney theme park, except for Epcot, has it’s own parade; and the Magic Kingdom has two! The Magic Kingdom’s nighttime parade, the Main Street Electrical Parade, is especially unique in that the floats and characters are covered in lights! Every guest should catch a Disney parade on their vacation!

2. Pirates of the Caribbean-Yo Ho, Yo Ho! This classic Disney attraction has been entertaining Disney guests for generations and still is incredibly popular. It also inspired the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean film series; and you can even see Captain Jack Sparrow popping up in the attraction these days! This ride offers both adventure and comedy and is enjoyable for all ages! You have yet to see all of Disney’s best without a trip on Pirates of the Caribbean!

1. Wishes-Disney is famous for their fireworks, and the most magical display can be found nightly above the Magic Kingdom! Wishes features some amazing fireworks coupled with an touching soundtrack and Disney songs and lighting tricks projected on Cinderella Castle. This show is narrated by Jiminy Cricket who tells guests about the power of wishes and dreams; but evil Disney villains try to turn those dreams into nightmares! However, good always triumphs over evil; and you will be touched, wowed, and charmed by this fireworks show! Also, early in the show, keep your eyes up to see Tinkerbell flying  down from the castle!

What do you think every guest should do on a Disney Vacation? Are any of these on your to-do list? Let us know!
