Who better to represent Rapunzel than Taylor Swift, who actually has the long golden hair…maybe not this long, but close! This is one of the continuing series portraits of the Disney Dream Series by Annie Leibovitz. Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz has been creating portraits of celebrities as Disney characters for the past year, think Russell Brand as Captain Hook or Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segel star as Phineas, Ezra and Gus, you may know them as the Hitchhiking Ghosts.
The latest in the Disney Dream series with Taylor Swift is one of the most romantic and dreamy of the series don’t you think? If you want to see this in print check out upcoming issues of Vanity Fair, InStyle and People.

Ricky Gervais Set to Join ‘The Muppets’ Sequel
Here’s another reason to get excited about the new Muppets film. Last week we learned that ‘Modern Family’ star Ty Burrell was set to co-star in the film, playing an Interpol agent in the film, but we weren’t sure how big of a part he’d be playing. But we could possibly have our leading man now, because Ricky Gervais is in talks to star in the film. Not much is known about his character at this time, but he will be the lead human in the film, being our eyes and ears into the crazy world of the Muppets. He’ll be one of the three major human characters in the film, including Burrell as the “lazy Interpol Agent”, as we’ve learned. With two of the three major roles cast in the last two weeks, I’m sure we’ll be hearing who the third actor to take on the role will be fairly shortly.
I’m a huge fan of Gervais, he’s done some amazing work on television and film, and I’m a huge fan of the original version of ‘The Office’, which he starred in and created. He’s a huge fan of the Muppets, so having him come on board makes sense, especially following Jason Segal, who was also a self proclaimed Muppets enthusiast. The thing that makes this kind of funny is that Gervais originally shot a cameo for ‘The Muppets’, which was actually deleted from the film, and you can see on the blu-ray and DVD. I would have loved to have seen left in, just to see him interact more with the Muppets, but now I don’t have to worry about that because I can see him in a whole film acting along side them! There really isn’t a better leading man choice, at least in my eyes, to pick up where Segal left off, and I’m really glad to see Disney going to him. This movie just keeps shaping up to be better and better. ’The Muppets’ sequel is currently untitled and has no release date, but will begin filming next year.

Ty Burrell Set to Star in ‘The Muppets’ Sequel
It looks like ‘The Muppets‘ sequel has finally found its star to takeover for Jason Segal in the new film. Segal isn’t set to reprise his role as Gary in the sequel to the 2011 film, but Walt Disney Studios has found another great comedic actor to take his place. Ty Burrell, who many will recognize as Phil from ABC’s hit comedy ‘Modern Family’, is set to star in the film as an Interpol Inspector in the film, but at the time we don’t know the characters name. In fact, very little is known about the film at this time, other than the fact that the film will follow the Muppets, including the new edition Walter, as the travel through Europe on some sort of caper. Burrell is taking over for Christoph Waltz, who had to unfortunately bow out of the role. The film is set to shoot in London next year, with a script by Nicholas Stoller, who wrote the first film with Segal, and returning director James Bobin.
I’m a huge fan of Ty Burrell, and think his work on ‘Modern Family’ is excellent, so I’m very excited to see him join the cast of the new film. I was very sad to see that Waltz had to drop out, but Burrell is more than capable of filling his shoes. ‘The Muppets’ was one of my favorite films of last year, so I definitely can’t wait for the sequel, and I really hope it lives up to the first one. ‘The Muppets’ sequel is currently untitled and doesn’t have a release date yet, but I’d expect winter 2013 or 2014.

Muppet News Flash – Muppets working out details for sequel movie
Couple of developments coming out of Muppet world about the upcoming sequel that is still unnamed which is due to start filming in January. First, they have confirmed that they will be filming some around London. Beginning in January 2013 and April 2013 they will be doing location work in London for this film that is rumored to set place in Europe only.
Another little tidbit is that Bret McKenzie, who won an Oscar for his song “Man or Muppet” that was in the last Muppet film titled “The Muppets” is returning to write new songs for the film.
Regarding some of the actors, Jason Segel is saying he won’t be in this film, though there is talk of a cameo appearance, for the co-writer and executive producer of “The Muppets” film. On that note the sequel is set to introduce new Muppets and Oscar Winner, Christopher Waltz is playing the villain as an Interpol Agent in the new film.
The previous film “The Muppets” was received with huge accolades and so even though the sequel has some big shoes to fill it seems the plans are in place for another Muppets hit. Who wants to see the new Muppets movie? Who is your favorite Muppet? I like Beaker myself!

Iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz reveals latest in Disney Dream Portraits
Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz released her latest Disney theme park ad campaign photos for her Disney Dream Portrait Series this week that includes British comedian Russell Brand as Peter Pan’s nemesis Captain Hook.
During an interview for Us Weekly, Brand said he can relate to the personality of Captain Hook.
“There are similarities between me and Captain Hook in that I am an Eton-educated, piratical buccaneer living on the high seas stealing and robbing and loathing the perpetual innocence and childhood of Pan,” Brand said. “Peter Pan! Oh, how I hate him!”
