If you’re anything like me, then you have tons of photos trapped on your phone. Between snapping random shots to posting endless pics on Instagram, I’ve got a lot of memories on that baby! Well my friends, we are in luck! That’s because Disney Interactive just released a digital storytelling app for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch (also works on your iPad) called Story. Now we can put those pictures to use in a fun, simple, and creative way and we can SHARE them! That’s right! We can DO SOMETHING with all of those beautiful pictures!
Disney’s Story App Now Available for Apple Products
Disney Interactive recently launched a digital storytelling app called Story. This app is for iPhone and iPod Touch (and also works on my iPad 3). If you are anything like me,then you probably have lots of pictures and videos on your phone! Disney Interactive has found the perfect solution with this app! Now, you can drop your pictures and videos into a pre-designed storyboard.
From what I’ve seen so far, this app is very easy to use. All you have to do is drop in your pictures/videos and text and the hard work is done for you. You can customize from 5 themes (modern, classic, story, fresh, and Mickey). Once you are finished, this app allows you to share your creation via email or Facebook. You can even embed your story on your blog or website!
Monsters Inc. Storybook App Available Now

With yesterday’s anticipated re-release of Disney-Pixar’s hit animated feature, Monsters, Inc., in 3D, Disney Publishing is offering kids and parents a chance to relive the “monstrously” fun story in a new, fully-interactive way! This week, the Monsters, Inc. Storybook Deluxe app is available for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and even iPad mini – just in time for the holidays!
In the app, kids join Sulley and Mike on their quest to return Boo back to her home, while also trying to keep her out of sight of course. Featuring original character voices and original movie clips, the app allows young readers and monster fans alike to discover hidden “Scare Cards” throughout the story, navigate their way through a Monsters, Incorporated scare simulator training room to collect scream energy in a new game, and even uses kids’ own recorded screaming and roaring abilities to personalize the app!
The Monsters, Inc. Storybook Deluxe app is available now for iOS for $6.99 on the App Store.
Well, my 5 year old is, I am looking forward to the 3D re-release of Monsters, Inc. We also can’t wait to see Monsters 2. So for now we will check out this app and let you know if it will keep the Monsters “at bay”. Look for my review at Chip and Co.
Mickey Mom is mom to two monsters, loves to laugh and her favorite monster is Sully.

Try this Free Interactive Thriller Series on Amazon Called The Deadliest Cast Member
Kelly Johns developed MouseWait, which is one of the most popular Disneyland iPhone and Android apps in history. Now, he is taking MouseWait’s 100,000 plus community on an adventure with Jack Duncan, former SEAL Team Six member, billionaire tech-mogul, and Disney Legend. Part One of The Deadliest Cast Member was made available over the weekend for free on Amazon’s Kindle platform.
“My goal is to make this series an interactive adventure we can all go on together” said Kelly Johns.
Johns integrated a simple feedback form inside the novel that allows readers to submit their ideas and requests in regards to what they would like to see happen in the book series.
“It’s the same thing I did with MouseWait” said Johns, “I built MouseWait mostly on user feedback since we started in 2009 and people love it when you listen to them”
MouseWait for iPhone and Android is a free app that gives you accurate wait times and information on all attractions — even restaurants. It also gives people a live view of what’s happening at Disneyland through thousands of user-generated pictures and videos that stream through the mobile app and the web version of MouseWait. A massive community has developed around MouseWait. Many of these “MouseWaiters” as they call themselves have developed significant friendships as a result of the community, which is a phenomenon Johns says he couldn’t have predicted. You can see the MouseWait Story here.
LEGO Star Wars Battle Orders iOS App – Conquer the Galaxy Brick By Brick

Lego Star Wars Battle Orders is now available for FREE in iTunes. This iOS app is very simplistic and fun. After choosing to fight on the light-side or dark-side you’ll use your finger to swipe what planet your ships should build a base on. Stand ready because opposing forces will be ready to fight for the right to build that base.
The trademark Lego looks are there along with the wonderful Star Wars look and feel, not to mention the sound effects and John Williams music. What was lacking was in the initial directions. It will take some time to get used to how it all works and what the different icons represent. As the levels grow in difficulty you will be able to earn some pretty cool power-ups so be ready to experiment when new symbols appear.
Overall this is a really entertaining app for the casual gamer on-the-go. Download it today. It’s free so what have you got to loose?
