Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff Video Game

Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff Video Game

Majesco Entertainment Company, an innovative provider of games for the mass market along with Disney Interactive, announced today that Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff is expected to launch this August. Based on the top-rated Emmy Award-winning hit series, Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff will release on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii U video game system, Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo 3DS™ from Nintendo.

Majesco also plans to release a unique Phineas and Ferb smartphone and tablet game in August, which will feature Agent P and the rest of the O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym).

Join Phineas and Ferb as they travel to out-of-this-world places in their newest invention, the A.T.T. (All-Terrain Transformatron). This upgradeable, customizable, ultra-cool amphibious ride helps the boys hunt for lost loot to display in their backyard Museum of Cool. Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff features many of the fan-favorite characters from the hit show, including Perry the Platypus — aka secret Agent P, Candace, Isabella, Buford, Baljeet, and the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who is determined to unleash his latest creation, the “get-rid-of-cool-stuff-inator” on the Tri-State Area.

Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh Talk Phineas & Ferb

Dan Povenmire & Jeff Swampy Marsh Talk Phineas & Ferb

In anticipation of the all-new Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents—releasing to DVD on February 26, 2013—I had the opportunity to interview the show’s creators and co-executive producers, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh.

Since it was a phone interview, they began by identifying themselves, so I would know who was speaking when. I told them if they would just speak in character, I’d have no trouble…so they greeted me as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Major Frances Mongram! That set the tone for the very friendly conversation that follows.

Here’s what the guys had to say about the show in general, the new production, and what’s in the works.

JW: Good afternoon! Thanks for speaking with me today! My kids and my husband and I are all huge Phineas and Ferb fans, and it’s great to have this chance to talk to you. I have read that it took you guys 16 years of pitching the show to various producers before Disney picked it up? Is that so?

P&M: Yeah, it was about 13 years before someone finally took a look at it, and then another couple years of negotiating and working out the details before it actually aired, so yeah, about 15 or 16 years total—1993 to 2008.

Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure gets new expansion

Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure gets new expansion

The interactive game, Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, debuted earlier this summer, but today we’re happy to announce that Agent P has added new elements to his adventures in the United Kingdom, Mexico and Japan Pavilions.

The game is based on the wily secret-agent alter-ego of Perry the Platypus, a faithful pet to the title characters from Disney’s animated series “Phineas & Ferb.” Although just a simple pet to Phineas and Ferb, Perry turns into Agent P in each episode to help stop the misguided plans of his nemesis, Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Here at Epcot, guests transform into secret agents to help Agent P thwart some of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s most daring plots. Agents use a high tech detection device called a “F.O.N.E.” (Field Operative Notification Equipment) to receive clues for each case.
