Sadly One Person Killed in Car Crash Today on Disney World Property

A 59-year old Kissimmee man, was killed this morning after a car crash at Walt Disney World. According to Florida Highway Patrol the crash involved a large propane gas truck and a small passenger car. The small passenger car was a Geo Metro. The two vehicles collided near Disney’s Magic Kingdom about 7:30 a.m this morning.

Reportedly, the Geo Metro was driving Southbound when it veered suddenly into the Northbound lane. The Medical Examiner will look into whether another medical episode occurred causing the sudden fatal movement.

The troopers have blocked the roadway while the investigate the crash, but the propane truck was secured and luckily, there was no leaked gas.

They have not released the identity of the victim.

A Year of Surprises, All-New Spas, Magic and More Welcome Walt Disney World Resort Guests in 2013

A Year of Surprises, All New Spas, Magic and More Welcome Walt Disney World Resort Guests in 2013

Even more magic is in store for Walt Disney World Resort guests in 2013. From the excitement of New Fantasyland to new tres francais additions to Epcot dining, from being grandly pampered at a new Grand Floridian spa to weekly guest surprises only Disney can do – all this and more welcomes guests in 2013.

In the shadows of Cinderella Castle rises New Fantasyland, welcoming Magic Kingdom guests into classic storybook worlds where elephants fly and castles touch the sky, where a beauty meets a beast and a mermaid plays under the sea.

Representing the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history, Fantasyland doubles in size with the addition of Enchanted Tales with Belle, Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest Restaurant, a re-themed Barnstormer Featuring the Great Goofini, two carousels of Dumbo, the Flying Elephant (complete with interactive queue), Gaston’s Tavern, Pete’s Silly Sideshow, a new family play area and much more.

Here’s a look around what 2013 holds for guests to Florida’s Vacation Kingdom:

Even More New Fantasyland to Debut in 2013

On top of the flurry of those December 2012 grand openings in the expanded New Fantasyland, 2013 sees another new addition to the pixie-dusted lineup. Disney princesses including Cinderella, Tiana and Rapunzel will have a new home for meeting their loyal subjects when Princess Fairytale Hall opens in 2013 in the shadows of Cinderella Castle. The castle-like entrance will feature walls of stone and stained glass windows leading to a large, high-ceilinged room where portraits of the princesses adorn the walls. When summoned, Magic Kingdom guests will proceed to elegantly furnished chambers to meet the princesses. Another coming attraction, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — a first-of-its-kind coaster with ride vehicles that swing back and forth — makes its debut in spring 2014.

Your Disney Reservation can not be located…Have you seen those horrible words when checking on your Disney Reservation? I have and it puts me in panic mode and I am normally a very calm person. I have had issues in the past with my reservations disappearing, but they always reappear.

Today Disney launched a new site, it is working in conjunction with the My Disney Experience iPad app. Not all the features are fully accessible across the website and the App just yet, but they will be. I spoke to someone at Disney Reservations and she said that they hope everything will be fully operational within 48 hours. I had to manually enter my reservation numbers and it had no problem locating my Dining reservation but it could not locate my vacation I have planned for February. The chat feature on the new site is also not functional yet, so you would have to call.

She said they are having bigger  issues with reservations made under the Florida resident or the Annual passholder discounts, which of course is mine. So keep checking back and if your reservation can not be found within 48 hours then please let them know but do not freak out because your reservations are still in the internal system they just may take some extra time to show up on the new site.

Disney Confidential – Disney Ticket Prices Going Up

Disney Confidential Disney Ticket Prices Going Up

Hey there Ladies and Gents it is I, Anonymouse!  Delivering right to your computer the best in Disney News & Gossip.  Normally, I bring you gossip that may happen, but there is a chance that it would not. Unfortunately, I am pretty sure on this front and want to grumble a little to my fellow Disney fans and that is about the prices at Disney going up..up…up.

First, did you hear the news last week that Table in Wonderland’s price is  jumping up to $100 for DVC and AP members and $125 for Florida residents? Now, for Florida residents my guess is this is still a good deal and great savings but for the DVC and AP members who only go 4 or 5 times a year, then they are going to need to re-do their numbers and see if it still works.

Disney ticket prices have no recent increases, which means watch out, because these prices have been raised 12 times over the last 9 years. But, to be fair to Disney with the increase in price does come constant upgrades, additions and refurbishment so the good news there is you get something for your dollars, but it is still increasing.
