Disney Epic Mickey Launch Date Announcement and Brand New Trailer
Disney Interactive Studios announced today that Disney Epic Mickey will be available on November 30 in North America, November 26 in the United Kingdom and November 25, 2010 in Europe. With its innovative style of gameplay using paint and thinner to dynamically change the game world, Disney Epic Mickey is one of the most anticipated titles of 2010. The game’s new video, “Journey”, is available for viewing now at www.Disney.com.

Disney Epic Mickey is an action-adventure platforming game for the Wii console that sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey of creativity and discovery. As Mickey, the player is propelled into Wasteland, an alternate world made up of Disney’s long forgotten characters and attractions, and is given the power to wield paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world while determining Mickey’s path to becoming an epic hero.
Through the use of this unique paint and paint thinner, the key components of animation and Mickey’s tools for impacting his world, players will have the ability to shape how the story unfolds as they discover the concept of “Playstyle Matters” – an innovative style of gameplay created by Disney Interactive Studios’ Junction Point, led by industry luminary Warren Spector, where players creatively tackle different challenges in the world to explore all the possibilities and storylines – but with consequences for their chosen actions.

Watch Disney’s Epic Mickey Video Game Opening Movie
Industry luminary Warren Spector today revealed Part One of the Disney Epic Mickey video game opening movie at the conclusion of his keynote address at the Game Developer Conference Europe in Cologne, Germany. Setting the story for Disney Epic Mickey, Part One follows the adventures of a mischievous Mickey Mouse, revealing the origins of Wasteland – a world of things forgotten, retired or rejected – and offering clues to sites unseen from iconic animations long ago. Reminiscent of the 1930’s classic Disney cartoon “Thru the Mirror,” Disney Epic Mickey’s Opening Movie Part One is available for viewing below.
Fans of Disney Epic Mickey will need to stay tuned as Part Two will be revealed in the coming weeks.
