Walt Disney World Resort Refurbishments Update for May 2013

Current

BoardWalk Bakery (BoardWalk Resort) closed through 4/26/13 for expansion. A coffee cart will be available on the BoardWalk during this time.
Mad Tea Party (Magic Kingdom) closed through 5/21/13 for refurbishment.
Anandapur Ice Cream Truck (Animal Kingdom) closed through 5/24/13 for refurbishment.
Main Street Bakery (Magic Kingdom) closed through 6/18/13 for conversion to a Starbucks location.
Tower Club Concierge Lounge and entire 14th floor (Contemporary Resort) closed through late Summer 2013 for refurbishment.
The Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort closed through Summer 2013. Guests can use Senses – A Disney Spa at the Grand Floridian.
California Grill (Contemporary Resort) closed until late Summer 2013 for refurbishment.
Fountain View (Epcot) closed until Fall 2013 for conversion to a Starbucks location.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress (Magic Kingdom) closed 5/13/13-5/15/13 for refurbishment.
Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom) closed 5/13/13-5/16/13 for refurbishment.
Beach Pool Slide (Grand Floridian Resort) closed 5/27/13-6/1/13 for refurbishment.
Beach Pool (Grand Floridian Resort) closed 5/30/13-6/1/13 for refurbishment. Guests can use the Courtyard Pool during this time.
Pirates of the Caribbean (Magic Kingdom) closed 6/17/13-6/21/13 for refurbishment.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure (Hollywood Studios) closed through 11/16/12 for refurbishment.
Studio Backlot Tour (Hollywood Studios) closed through 11/16/12 for refurbishment.
American Film Institute Showcase (Hollywood Studios) closed through 11/16/12 for refurbishment.
Ship Shape Health Club and Periwig Beauty & Barber Shop (Yacht & Beach Club) closed through 11/16/12. Guests may use the temporary health club in the Solarium at the Beach Club or the BoardWalk health club.
Osprey Ridge Golf Course closed through 11/18/12 for refurbishment.
Mouseketeer Club (Grand Floridian Resort) closed through November 2012.
Test Track (Epcot) closed through 12/5/12 for transformation to the Chevrolet Design Center.
Bistro de Paris (Epcot) closed through 12/11/12 for refurbishment.
Courtyard Pool (Grand Floridian Resort) closed through late December 2012 for refurbishment. A zero-entry slope will be added. The Beach Pool and Slide will remain open.

Osprey Ridge Golf Course closed through 6/17/12 for refurbishment.
Affection Station (Animal Kingdom) closed through 6/30/12 for refurbishment.

Test Track (Epcot) closed through 11/30/12 for transformation to the Chevrolet Design Center.
Grand Floridian Spa (Grand Floridian Resort) closed through mid-2013 due to construction at the resort. The Grand Floridian Fitness Center will remain open and guests may use The Spa at Saratoga Springs Resort.

Palm Golf Course closed 6/18/12-6/24/12 for refurbishment.
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (Magic Kingdom) closed 6/27/12-6/29/12 for refurbishment.

Current

The Enchanted Tiki Room – Under New Management closed until further notice.
Fairways Course at Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf closed through 2/20/11 for refurbishment. The Gardens Course will be open during this time.
Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage! (Hollywood Studios) closed through 3/5/11 to prepare for a new show Disney Junior – Live on Stage!
Hippy Dippy Pool (Pop Century Resort) closed through 3/11/11 for refurbishment. Guests may use the Bowling Pool and Computer Pool.
Luna Park Pool Slide (BoardWalk Resort) closed through 3/16/11 for refurbishment. Guests may use the pool or use the feature pool and slide at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort.
Blizzard Beach closed through 3/26/11 for annual refurbishment.
Magnolia Bend Leisure Pool (Port Orleans Resort – Riverside) closed through 4/1/11 for refurbishment. Ol’ Man Island feature pool and all other pools will be open during this time.
Leisure Pool (Polynesian Resort) closed through 4/8/11 for refurbishment. The Nanea Volcano Pool will be open during this time.
Primeval Whirl (Animal Kingdom) closed through 4/16/11 for refurbishment.
Star Tours (Hollywood Studios) closed through 5/19/11 for refurbishment.
Paddock Leisure Pool (Saratoga Springs Resort) closed through 6/30/11 for refurbishment. It is being converted into a feature pool.

Upcoming

East Leisure Pool (Polynesian Resort) closed 2/21/11-4/8/11 for refurbishment. The Nanea Volcano Pool will be open.
High Rock Spring Feature Pool (Saratoga Springs Resort) will not be heated 2/28/11-3/4/11. The pool will remain open. Guests may use Congress Park and The Grandstand pools.
Sounds Dangerous (Hollywood Studios) closed 3/3/11-3/6/11 for refurbishment.
Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool (Fort Wilderness) closed 3/14/11-4/22/11 for refurbishment. The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool will be open during this time.
Magnolia Bend Leisure Pool (Port Orleans Riverside Resort) closed 3/30/11-3/31/11 for refurbishment.
Cabanas Leisure Pool (Coronado Springs Resort) closed 5/17/11-5/18/11 for refurbishment.
