The Orange County Register reported that fines have been proposed by the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health. These penalties arose from an accident in November when a contract worker slipped and suffered broken bones while he was cleaning the exterior of the Space Mountain attraction at Disneyland. Disney has not announced if they have decided to attempt to appeal the penalties.

Well, although one has been re-opened, but the other two are still closed. The Matterhorn Bobsleds, Space Mountain, and Soarin’ Over California were closed due to failure to meet the state requirement of harnessed fall protection for any employee walkway with more than a 30 inch drop opposite a hand rail.
