Lady Antebellum Celebrates Upcoming Album Release with Golden Performance at the Disneyland Resort
Yesterday, seven-time Grammy-winning trio Lady Antebellum gave a special performance at Disneyland park to celebrate the May 7 release of their upcoming album, “Golden.” Appropriately enough, this special performance occurred on the stage of the legendary Golden Horseshoe Saloon.
From the stage of the Golden Horseshoe, the band mentioned how exciting it was to be here at Disneyland, and then, Hillary Scott, who is expecting her first baby in July, joked that she and her husband, drummer Chris Tyrrell, have just taken their daughter to Disneyland for the first time! “We’ll be back, of course,” she said.
Take the kids to Aunty’s Beach House at Aulani
When visiting Aulani with 3 to 12 year old kids, you will most definitely be visiting Aunty’s Beach House! Probably a lot. Honestly, it’s a great place for the kids. There is never a dull moment in this amazing 5200 Square Foot play area. Complete with childcare professionals, indoor and outdoor play areas and more. Once inside your kids will become a part of Aunty’s O’hana (family).
Let’s take a stroll over through Aulani to Aunty’s Beach House together. We can peer in the windows to see what the kids are up to together. I’m sure Aunty won’t mind a bit.
Let’s tell the cast members at check in what we’re up to though. No one gets in or out of this area without express permission and a signed agreement. These kids are their responsibility and they do not take it lightly. Be prepared to provide a safe word to get your kids out, as well as your kids wrist band to sign in and out with. After a few days the cast members may know you, but that won’t mean they will let up on the security that is there for the kids protection. I for one appreciate knowing this.
Suspect in Disneyland Ticket Scam Turns Himself In
The man who has allegedly been selling fraudulent tickets in a Disneyland ticket scam has turned himself in to authorities.
Police reported that a man who called himself “Chris Ruiz” met a woman in a Food 4 Less parking lot in Wilmington to sell four Disneyland park-hopper tickets at $60 each. These tickets normally sell for upwards of $125 a piece. The woman had purchased these tickets from a stranger on Craigslist.
The man, whose real name is Edward Anthony Contes, turned himself in to authorities at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Division station in San Pedro, California. He was being held on charges of petty theft, but faces felony charges because he had at least three or more prior convictions and served jail time.
Must Do Disney – Disneyland Hotel Signature Suites
I decided I had to write some about what I want to do and not just what I have done… On a trip in the future I fully intend to spend a few nights in EVERY Disneyland Hotel Signature Suite! Have you had a chance to experience one? Let us know! Or is it on your bucket list too?
What are the Signature Suites exactly? Think of the High Roller suites in Las Vegas and you’re on the way to understanding. I may be a dreamer but I know I’ll stay in each one of the themed suites…
These rooms are located on the 11th Floor of the Adventure Tower at Disneyland Hotel. There are a total of 5 themed Signature Suites. The Mickey Mouse Penthouse, Big Thunder Suite, Pirates of the Caribbean Suite, Fairy Tale Suite, and Adventureland Suite.
First Three-Park All-Nighter Kicks Off Monstrous Summer at the WDW and Disneyland Resorts
Just seconds ago, a 180-foot-tall Mike Wazowski from the upcoming Disney●Pixar film “Monsters University”made the official announcement that Disney is keeping three theme parks open for 24 hours on Memorial Day Weekend, the traditional start of the family travel season, to kick off a Monstrous Summer on both coasts. Wazowski, the loveable green-bodied, one-eyed monster, joins best pal James P. Sullivan (“Sulley”) in the prequel to “Monsters, Inc.”, this summer as college students with hopes of becoming Scarers.
Our first-ever, three-park all-night party is happening at the Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park in California. The parks will stay open from 6 a.m., May 24 to 6 a.m., May 25, 2013, local time.
