Custodial manager at Disney’s Port Orleans resort accused of watching porn
A custodial manager at Disney’s Port Orleans resort has been accused of watching porn at work. He was reportedly writing an Easter sermon for a church in Sanford, Florida where he pastors.
Cedric Eugene Cuthbert is the pastor of the Historic St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Sanford, Florida. Cuthbert worked for Disney for more than 7 years prior to his arrest. He has now been fired.
According to Orange County deputies, an employee-relations manager at Disney was alerted last month when Cuthbert tried to access some blocked websites from his work computer.
Doggy Prom at Best Friends Pet Care in Disney World
Canine Couples Don Tiaras & Tails for Doggy Prom - 42 Pups “put on the dog” at Best Friends at Walt Disney World Resort
Prom season went to the dogs this week at Best Friends Pet Care at Walt Disney World Resort. More than 40 dogs donned bow ties, boas, tiaras and tails to attend the first-ever Doggy Prom.
The canine couples walked the red carpet into the Best Friends doggy day camp room, which was decorated in a Starry Night theme with dark blue and silver streamers and stars. There was doggy dancing under the disco ball and, just like at high school proms everywhere, a doggy prom King and Queen were crowned.
The staff, wearing prom attire too, took photos of each canine couple to send home to mom and dad.

Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction Finally opens but not for long…

Every single day, on the shore of Echo Lake inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can see Gertie in all her 1930′s “California Crazy” architectural goodness. She loves to pose for pictures and is very photogenic.
Unfortunately, she is only open seasonally for the business of selling ice cream and treats. Catching her on one of these days can be tricky. Today, however, we got lucky and stumbled on some May 2013 dates and hours of operation for Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction!

Playing it Safe in the Parks: Lightning Safety at Disney World
What joy spring brings! Flowers bloom, empty forests refill with abundant green foliage, forest animals make friends with random princesses…wait a minute…okay so maybe that last one was a stretch (unless you are 100% princess like me. Accept it. Embrace it.) Any rate, with all of these spring things comes the inevitable thunderstorm.
Now, I know that there are loads of articles all over the internet on what to do at Disney in the event of rain; I even wrote one, appropriately titled It’s Raining…Not Pouring! Making the Most of the Parks in the Rain! In this article I’ll give suggestions for making the most of the parks when it rains. Among my suggestions, head for indoor attractions, be prepared with ponchos, and last but not least brave it. Brave it? That is a bold statement, one that should be followed up by some caution, granted, most of us have a generous portion of common sense! Now, I will give my self credit on this article because I did say that if you hear thunder, you should head for safe cover. But recently I watched a news show with a segment on lightning safety and I have to say that I am so glad I watched!
I’ve never been one to play around with lightning! When I was little, my mother would make us shut everything off, we weren’t allowed to stand near windows, we couldn’t use the telephone, we couldn’t go anywhere near water (like even the toilet). Now that I’m grown, I’ve relaxed a lot; pretty much the only of those rules I keep is to get indoors to safety. I thought that all my Mom’s precautions were preposterous. But friends, thanks to some time watching the tube whilst laying on my belly waiting for an allergy panel to react, I got some eye opening information! I was shocked to learn just how dangerous lightning is! So, what does this have to do with Disney? A lot!
Here are some tips for playing it safe in the parks: lightning safety at Disney World.
