Pixar Shorts just in time for the holidays – On ABC Family
For the first time on television, ABC Family will air a two-hour presentation of Walt Disney Pictures Presents – Pixar Short Films, featuring twenty animated Pixar shorts, as part of the networks annual 25 Days of Christmas programming event from December 1st through the 25th. Some of the Pixar shorts being shown include:
- Geris Game
- For the Birds
- Tin Toy
- Luxo Jr.
- Mikes New Car
- One Man Band
- Lifted
- Presto
The Pixar Short Films premieres on ABC Family on Wednesday, December 2 from 7:00-9:00PM ET/PT (and again from 9:00PM-11:00PM ET/PT). Two encore presentations will air on the network on Friday, December 18 at 10:00PM ET/PT and Saturday, December 19 at 6:00PM ET/PT.

Pixar Short Film – Dug’s Special Mission
Disney has released one minute of Pixar’s newest short film, Dug’s Special Mission, which will be released with the Up DVD/Blu-ray on November 10th 2009. Directed by Pixar’s Story Supervisor Ronnie del Carmen, this brand new five minute short film is a prequel to Up, following “the good-hearted dog, Dug as he is sent on a series of quests by his mean canine bosses.†The short film shows how Dug ended up where he was found. The one minute clip shows one of the Alpha Pack’s attempts to rid themselves of Dug.
