Walt Disney World Resort Turns Up the Romance During “True Love” Week All Part of Limited Time Magic
Love is in the air at Walt Disney World Resort as fairytale princesses find true love with their princes, and “happily ever after” becomes reality. It all happens during True Love Week February 11-17, 2013 at Walt Disney World Resort.
The weeklong love fest is all part of Limited Time Magic at Disney Parks, where each week in 2013 guests will be treated to a sprinkling of Disney magic where unexpected surprises and delights enhance vacation memories.
During True Love Week, a tapestry of romance is woven throughout the resort — from limited- time Valentine’s merchandise and special entertainment, to romantic dinners for two and new themed photo locations offering greetings with beloved Disney sweethearts – all for a limited-time only.
The weeklong event celebrates the love of friends and family, and invites couples to rekindle the flame. Here is the lineup:/
There is something new for everyone at Walt Disney World Resort in 2013. With the new Discover Disney ticket, Florida residents have even more reason to experience more magic than ever before.
The Discover Disney ticket offers Florida residents three days of theme park-going fun for $119 (plus tax) for adults and children ages three and up. Or, add an extra day for only $10 more (plus tax).
Here’s just a snapshot of what’s new:
- Two new castles in the Magic Kingdom, joining the beloved Cinderella Castle, help anchor New Fantasyland. Bringing to life the Disney hit movies The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, Prince Eric and Beast have palaces.
Attention fans of the California Grill! The restaurant that sits atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort is closing February 1st for a major makeover! While executive chef Brian Piasecki is tweaking the menu, the culinary focus will remain on fresh, seasonal creations.
The California Grill opened on May 15, 1995, and quickly became a Disney favorite, garnering rave reviews from food critics. In addition to its California fusion cooking and sushi, it’s location on the Contemporary 15th floor, is famous for its spectacular views of Walt Disney World’s Seven Seas Lagoon, the Magic Kingdom and the firework shows over Cinderella Castle. The California Grill will reopen in the summer 2013.

Even more magic is in store for Walt Disney World Resort guests in 2013. From the excitement of New Fantasyland to new tres francais additions to Epcot dining, from being grandly pampered at a new Grand Floridian spa to weekly guest surprises only Disney can do – all this and more welcomes guests in 2013.
In the shadows of Cinderella Castle rises New Fantasyland, welcoming Magic Kingdom guests into classic storybook worlds where elephants fly and castles touch the sky, where a beauty meets a beast and a mermaid plays under the sea.
Representing the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history, Fantasyland doubles in size with the addition of Enchanted Tales with Belle, Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, Be Our Guest Restaurant, a re-themed Barnstormer Featuring the Great Goofini, two carousels of Dumbo, the Flying Elephant (complete with interactive queue), Gaston’s Tavern, Pete’s Silly Sideshow, a new family play area and much more.

Even More New Fantasyland to Debut in 2013
On top of the flurry of those December 2012 grand openings in the expanded New Fantasyland, 2013 sees another new addition to the pixie-dusted lineup. Disney princesses including Cinderella, Tiana and Rapunzel will have a new home for meeting their loyal subjects when Princess Fairytale Hall opens in 2013 in the shadows of Cinderella Castle. The castle-like entrance will feature walls of stone and stained glass windows leading to a large, high-ceilinged room where portraits of the princesses adorn the walls. When summoned, Magic Kingdom guests will proceed to elegantly furnished chambers to meet the princesses. Another coming attraction, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — a first-of-its-kind coaster with ride vehicles that swing back and forth — makes its debut in spring 2014.
