Tentative Star Wars Weekends 2013 Guests List

I’m still surprised that Disney did not make any announcements regarding Star Wars or Star Wars Weekends as part of their “May the 4th Be With You” Star Wars Day Celebration. That said I have scoured the internet to find who is and who is not confirmed for this year so you can plan your trip accordingly! Here’s what I’ve been able to gather thus far from star’s social media pages. Of course only a few have been confirmed by Disney and talent is subject to change without notice so please keep that in mind.

Star Wars Weekends Coming To Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Are you a fan of the Star Wars movies? You won’t want to miss Star Wars Weekends, coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this spring! Star Wars Weekends will begin May 17, 2013 and continue every weekend through June 9, 2013. The dates are May 17-19, May 24-26, May 31- June 2, and June 7-9, 2013.

Here are some of the highlights for Star Wars Weekends this year:

You can meet over 60 Star Wars characters from the entire saga including favorites such as Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Anakin, and Chewbacca
Celebrities for the Star Wars movies will be in attendance every weekend to participate in special events like autograph sessions, Legends of the Force- Celebrity Motorcade, and Stars of the Saga- a Talk Show and Question and Answer Session, hosted by James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein.

Gear up fanboys and fangirls for the triumphant return of Star Wars Weekends! Disney Parks just released the dates for set for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 17 – June 9 2013!

The celebrity guests who make appearances in parades, special programs and autograph signings have not been announced at press time however Disney has named two stars who will be there during the event’s duration. “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” voice actors James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano) are scheduled to return as celebrity hosts. Taylor will be the official emcee while Eckstein will reprise her role as host of “Behind the Force,” a live show that takes fans behind-the-scenes in the Star Wars universe.

2013′s Star Wars Weekends may be the biggest one yet with Disney’s recent acquisition of Lucasfilm and the announcement of new Star Wars Episode VII. Set your hyperdrive for the Disney’s Hollywood Studios sector for May and early June, for the 2013 edition of Star Wars Weekends. This year’s Force-filled fun will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 17 – June 9, 2013.

While details are still being planned, we’re excited to announce that James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein are returning as celebrity hosts for the annual special event. James, the voice behind many of the most famous animated characters in film, television and commercials, is known to Star Wars fans as the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series. Ashley, who started her show business career as a parade dancer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is the voice of Anakin’s ambitious Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

James is the Official Celebrity Host of Star Wars Weekends 2013, and Ashley is Celebrity Host of “Behind the Force,” a live show that takes fans behind-the-scenes in the Star Wars universe.

This video came up on my radar the other day and it features Sorcerer Radio regular guest Ashley Eckstein. She is the the voice behind Jedi Padiwan Ahsoka Tano on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” as well as the mastermind designer of the ”Her Universe” clothing line. She’s a real “fan girl” and over the years not only has she endeared herself to millions of Star Wars fans but the rest of the sci-fi world as well. In the video she talks about her fandom as well as the inspiration behind Her Universe.
