The Walt Disney Company’s Annual Shareholder’s Meeting was full of surprises this morning. Â First there was the news that a Frozen sequel is coming and now more Star Wars.
Fans will be happy to know that Bob Iger announced the first standalone Star Wars movie, which will be released in December 2016. Â The movie titled Star Wars: Rogue One will star Felicity Jones and will have Gareth Edwards in charge. Filming begins in London during the summer and that means, I might just need to reschedule my European vacation to coincide with the film dates and locations. Â Wouldn’t it be great to meet and interview Felicity Jones?
Iger also shared the release date for the highly anticipated but still untitled, Star Wars: Â Episode VIII which will be in theatres, May 26, 2017. Â This new information gives Disney Addicts three consecutive years of Star Wars movies to enjoy.
