VIP

Are you a member of the U.S. Armed Forces? Are you a U.S. Armed Forces retiree? Do you travel to Disney World with someone that is an active duty military member or retiree? Did you know that there was a VIP lounge in Epcot just for you?!

That’s right! There is a VIP lounge located inside of Spaceship Earth that in the past was able to be accessed by military members, retirees and their guests. In order to enter you will need to obtain an access card and this can be done at the Shades of Green Ticket Office. Just ask for the Siemens Access Card. Siemens, the company that sponsors Spaceship Earth itself, also sponsors the lounge.
***UPDATED*** As of 12/15/15 the use of the Siemens VIP Lounge for military members has been discontinued due too high demand. It is unknown if or when the use of the lounge will be allowed again.

The entrance to the lounge can be found on the right side of Spaceship Earth as you enter the park at the exit of the Project Tomorrow exhibit. The entrance door displays the Siemens name – in the past you could just open just open it up! Here veterans were met with a kiosk that resembles an ATM and here they would enter the code of the back of your pass.

After the code had been put in the door would unlock and you were free to enter. Heading up the stairs and you would be greeted by a Siemens employee. They would let you know what is available in the lounge let you know about the “back door” to the Spaceship Earth attraction.

Guests would sign in and indicate how many guests you have with them and then you can relax in the AC and enjoy a beverage. A device charging station was also available.

Guests could walk around and take a look at the hi-tech displays to learn about what Siemens is all about and what the company is doing all around the world.

There were also restrooms available.

When guests were ready to leave they would let the person at the welcome desk know, and would be escorted down a “back” stairwell and into the unloading area for Spaceship Earth. There they would be able to board the ride!

This was a great gesture by Siemens to give military members and retirees a little something extra. Sadly, due to high demand it was discontinued.

Siemens is also committed to supporting military members and helping them to transition back to civilian life through Siemens Military Recruiting.
