Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction

Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar

Looking for a great ice cream stop? Try the snack kiosk that is probably the easiest to spot eatery in the park:  Dinosaur Gertie’s! It is located, well, in the huge dinosaur right on the lake.  When you approach Echo Lake you will see what looks like a prehistoric fiend making its way across until you round the corner and see the counter inside!  You can find various choices here, but note that it does close seasonally in the colder months.

Dinosaur Gertie’s is on the Disney Dining Plan, and you can use snack credits here.  Mickey Ice Cream Bars, trail mix, fruit, and other goodies are found here.  It’s a great stop on your way out of the park, to grab a snack while waiting in line for the buses, or for your walk back to the resorts along the Boardwalk area.

Overall, we give Dinosaur Gertie’s an “A”.

  1. I always wondered what the point of the dinosaur was! We never venture down past that way so I never knew it was ice cream. Will have to check it out next time we visit.
