Brown Derby Lounge

Brown Derby Lounge

Brown Derby Lounge is the newest Lounge to hit Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This lounge is a addition to the famous and iconic Hollywood Brown Derby which is located near the Chinese Theater, which is the home to the Great Movie Ride. This lounge is an outdoor seating lounge (sometimes indoor seating is available pending how busy the Brown Derby is that day) that offers tapas style menu items, great desserts, and amazing cocktails and wine by the glass. Here are some things to remember when going to The Brown Derby Lounge

  • There is no advance reservations, this lounge is a first come, first serve location
  • No discounts for pass holders or DVC guests. Only discount available is Tables In Wonderland.
  • This lounge seems to be weather permitting. Since it is mostly outdoors do not expect the lounge to be open during bad weather.
  • Lounge is slated to be open from noon until park closing
  • Menu items from the Brown Derby are not on the lounge menu, however if you ask for a specific item they will bring it to you.
  • Menu changes based on season, the current menu items can be seen here.
  • Tapas prices tend to be around 15 dollars, flights range from 11.25 to 28.00 currently, and desserts are 9 dollars.

The food here was amazing. I had a sample of duck tacos, and an order of the sliders which were great. The wine and drink menu was also great. There are themed drinks, flights of margaritas, scotch, martinis, as well as well drinks. I really loved the layout of this lounge. Padded bar stools, umbrellas, great area for people watching, and overhearing music from the stage area makes this a go to place for drinks and appetizers! Overall, I give the Brown Derby Lounge a B, due to its great food and drinks, but uncertainty to be open due to weather, and lack of pass holder discount.
