When you are heading into Dinoland from Discovery Island you will see Flame Tree Barbecue, my favorite Animal Kingdom counterservice restaurant, beckoning you.  From the bright, hand carved sign, to the sweet smells of the tasty barbecue sauce, Flame Tree will not disappoint!  This counter-service restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan and is open during Animal Kingdom park hours.

Food here includes: ribs, chicken, beef, and pork options served with baked beans and a corn muffins, sandwiches, salads, fruits, and various sides and desserts.  Refreshments available here include beer and wine and most all meat entrees include the great Flame Tree meat rub and barbecue sauce!

We ate here for the first time in December. Had to go a second time because my husband and daughter liked the ribs and chicken so much! Great place to just sit and relax too!

This was a nice break from the park, with the seating area pretty secluded. No complaints on the food from anyone in our group. My daughter kept stealing my chicken. :) And it’s definitely different than most of the quick service places. A nice change of pace.

My father-in-law will cross the park for this BBQ! It really is yummy. I like the BBQ salad with a nice cold dark beer. The seating area is in a nice shady area. It is quiet and calming. I definitely recommend Flame Tree BBQ!
