Riverside Mill Food Court

Essentially, Port Orleans is split into two separate moderate resorts: the more expansive old-time Louisiana bayou themed Port Orleans Riverside, and the smaller New Orleans French Quarter themed Port Orleans French Quarter. This is one of Disney’s most popular moderate resorts and its easy to see why when you walk through the magnolia trees along the Sassagoula River which connects the two resorts.

No matter which resort you are staying at you have a couple options that are sure to tempt and satisfy.

Both resorts offer food court options for quick meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as picking up and refilling resort mugs. Over at Riverside head over to Riverside Mill Food Court. Don’t forget to sample the beignets as New Orleans tradition and visitor favorite!

Also, nearby, each resort also has its own lounge, a perfect place for a drink and appetizers. Scat Cat’s Club at French Quarter and River Roost at Riverside are great places to relax, even occasionally featuring live music!

The made to order pasta and salads are so awesome. The portions are large enough to share so one of us gets the salad, one the pasta (which come with yummy garlic bread) and split the two between 3 of us! I crave the pasta when I’m not there and recreate it at home, even. Check it out as a great alternative to the expected offering for a food court!

POR is by far my favorite resort! The grounds are so beautiful and well kept and the price is very affordable for myself and my son. I am staying at WL for my next trip, but I am sure POR will be my stay for 2012!

We’re staying at the Riverside in December. It’ll be our 1st time. We’re excited! Especially when we look at all the activities we can do at the resort.

We enjoy walking over to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court when staying at Riverside. In fact we have traveled over to this resort from others to specifically eat here. Their homestyle roast and gravy and ribs are among some of the finest at WDW. The Castmembers are friendly and helpful as well. Be sure to wander outside and look at all the statues!
