Disney’s Polynesian Resort, located in the Magic Kingdom area, will immediately transport you to a tropical, Hawaiian oasis-with a touch of Disney magic.  This resort is comprised of two longhouses, which surround the Great Ceremonial House.  Disney’s Polynesian Resort has about 850 guest rooms, many with views of the Seven Seas Lagoon.  It’s a quick monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT from the Polynesian Resort.  The Polynesian is one of the original resorts to open at Walt Disney World in the 1970s, and it’s been the home to many happy guests since.

Room Types:  Standard rooms at the Polynesian accommodate up to five guests.  They have two queen beds and a day bed in these rooms.  Club Level Rooms have the same accommodations.  The exception to Club Level is that guests receive access to a private lounge, with views of Wishes over Cinderella’s Castle from here.  Finally, you have the option of a Club Level Suite.  This can accommodate up to five guests.  There is a large living room area, as well as a small kitchenette and a private balcony with these suites.

Dining:  The Polynesian is home to several dining options.

• O’hana:  This is the location for breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, as well as Mickey and Pluto.  Breakfast is served family style, and you can interact with the mischieveous Stitch, as well as have a photo and autograph with Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto.  Reservations are recommended for breakfast at O’hana.  For dinner, you can enjoy South Pacific dishes-such as skewers of pork loin or oak grilled chicken, honey coriander chicken wings.
• Kona Cafe:  This is where you’ll find Tonga Toast-banana stuffed sourdough bread and rolled in cinnamon and sugar.  Or, try Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes.  Whatever you choose you’ll enjoy it!  Kona Cafe also serves lunch and dinner selections.  This is a table service restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan and reservations are recomended.
• Captain Cook’s:  If you are looking for a quick service dining option, then Captain Cooks is your answer.  They even serve Tonga Toast here!  You can also get the yummy Mickey waffles and more traditional breakfast fare here.
• Spirit of Aloha Show:  If you really want to experience the luau of Hawaii, then look no further.  You will be entertained, fed, and have a memory to last a lifetime if you go to the Spirit of Aloha Luau.  Hula dancing, fire twirling, dancers, and drummers take you through a show you’ll remember forever.  Reservations are necessary for the Spirit of Aloha Show.

Recreation:  With 3 white sand beaches, boat rentals, surrey rentals, and movies under the stars, you won’t be bored at the Polynesian. You can experience Wishes from the beaches, watch the Electric Water Pageant, and we can’t forget the pools.  The Polynesian has two pools-the Nanea Volcano Pool and the Polynesian East Pool.  The Nanea Volcano pool features a fun play area for children, as well as a zero entry point.  Couple that with a 142 foot water slide, and you’re bound to have a fun, relaxing time.

Transportation:  The monorail takes you to MK and EPCOT, while you’ll want a Disney bus for DHS and AK.

You can’t go wrong when staying at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.  This Deluxe resort is a must stay!
