When making your way through the lands of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, there is one that stands out a little more fantastical than the rest.  Sure, you can visit new frontiers, have some new adventures, make fantasies reality, and travel back in time but there is only one place where you are transported into the future: Tomorrowland.

Located due east from the main hub, Tomorrowland includes 8 attractions and 4 quick service eating locations.

Of all the things included in Tomorrowland, I think my favorite has to be THE PEOPLE MOVER! This simple conveyor system, bucket seated ride takes you on a tour of the entire land with some of my favorite views of Cinderella castle in the entire park (especially if you happen to be riding during the second showing of the night parade or Wishes).  I can’t help but head right over every time I have to wait for a showing at Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor or Stitch’s Great Escape! And on exceptionally slow days for the People Mover, you can even sometimes get castmembers to agree to let you go for a second spin! And speaking of Stitch, he is a regular character to catch on meet and greets around Tomorrowland, along with Buzz Lightyear!

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is tucked in the back of Tomorrowland and offers a fun glimpse into an old World’s Fair animatronic attraction created by Mr. Disney himself.  While the “future” section featured here looks outdated in the way that Back to the Future’s “future” did, its still fun and entertaining.  Not only do you get a look at how technology and life has progressed for a family here but one of the catchiest songs is sure to be stuck in your head all day…. There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, Shining at the end of every day, There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, And tomorrow’s just a dream away!

There are two fan favorite located within this area as well:  Space Mountain, the indoor rollercoaster which sends you sky rocketing into the stars, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, a fun for the whole family target shooting adventure that taking you to infinity and beyond! And towering high about Tomorrowland as you enter, is the Astro Orbiter, which you can enter near the People Move line! Also be sure not to miss the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway! While there is no fast pass for this attraction if you hit the timing right you can walk through with a minimal wait and have a great time racing around the track here!

Once you have worked up your appetite try one of the many eateries here: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, The Lunching Pad, Auntie Gravity’s and seasonally Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle.  Cosmic Ray’s is a go-to spot for lots of visitors since it is right off of the hub and offers many choices (including vegetarian).  Aunt Gravity’s is another often-packed snack stop and a great place to stop for a drink or ice cream as you stroll through this land! There is ample seating at most stops and around the area, making it a great place to eat & play! 😉

Great guide! The People mover and the Carousel of progress aren’t only classic rides, but are also great ways to take a breather from walking all over the park and being able to beat the heat!! Whenever we wanna just relax but not make the trek back to our rooms we stop by and catch the mover and tour the area hehe I love love love what Tomorrowland has to offer from rides and you can never go wrong at Cosmic Rays!

I do love lots in Tomorrow land. The Buzz Lightyear ride is fun. And the Monsters Laugh Floor is hilarious. We also enjoy the People Mover. Its cool to see all the other rides in this area while on this one ride. I do wish though that they did not add Stitch to the Alien ride. I rode that when I was 12 (it was not stitch back then) and it scared me and I do roller costers. My daughter 9yr old does not understand why I won’t let her go on it yet. She won’t even do little roller costers. She would die to see Stitch like that.
