bars

Has anyone noticed the number of bars and lounges that have been popping up around Walt Disney World lately? There was a time when an alcoholic drink was hard to come by in the theme parks but guests don’t need to look very far now in order to grab a drink before heading to their next attraction. Below is a list of the most recent establishments to offer alcoholic drinks:

Beaches and Cream

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, has added alcoholic shakes and floats to their menu in addition to beer, hard cider and hard sodas. Below is a listing of some of the yummy new drinks you can find at Beaches and Cream:

  • S’mores Shake (Chocolate and vanilla ice cream, Amarula Cream liquer, creme de dark coco, and topped with marshmallow, chocolate sauce, and graham crumbles)
  • The Classic Root Beer Float (Coney island hard root beer with vanilla ice cream)
  • Grashopper Float (Guinness with mint chip ice cream)
  • Tropical Sunrise Float (Ace Pineapple hard cider with rainbow sherbet)
  • Stout Float (Guinness with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce)

Trading Post Refreshments

A new bar called Trading Post Refreshments will be nestled into part of the Northwest Mercantile gift shop in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase.  A variety of Canadian beers and ice wines will be served including:

The Writer’s Stop

Located at Hollywood Studios, the Writer’s Stop has transitioned from a coffee shop that offers coffee, tea, soft drinks and pastries to a spot to grab an appetizer and drink. Writers Stop will be open from 11:30am until one hour before the Sci-Fine Dine In Restaurant closes. Guests can grab a warm pretzel served with spicy mustard and cheese sauce along with beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks before their dinner reservation.

Tower of Terror Bar

Although not confirmed by Disney, it is rumored that a new bar will be opening soon at Hollywood Studio’s Tower of Terror. The Tower of Terror bar will be located towards the exit area of the attraction near the current PhotoPass and gift shop area. The bar will offer snacks and Hollywood Tower Hotel themed beverages.
