Mother Returning From Disney Cruise Sent To Jail over 22-year-old warrant
A bizarre set of circumstances has landed a Connecticut woman in jail for a minor crime she committed 22 years ago. Robin Hall, a married mother of two had confessed to sealing a pack of cigarettes from a Wal Mart in Florida back in 1991. According to authorities she still owes the state of Florida $85 in court costs which she failed to pay at the time of the crime. She was arrested last week after she, her husband and two children disembarked the Disney Dream in Port Canaveral.
Police were waiting Hall when she got off the ship. Authorities found her by checking the ship’s manifest for potential terrorists, and realized that she still had an outstanding arrest.
‘I take full responsibility for what I did,’ Hall told NBC Connecticut, but added: ‘I do not believe I deserve this.’
Since her 91 arrest Hall has straightened out her life, graduating from college with a degree in architecture. The mom now works for the jet design firm Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut.
