After downloading the new app for Ipad and Iphones from Disney, Monsters University Storyboard Deluxe, I have seen my Ipad very little.
My kids love it ! You begin by taking a picture of yourself (or you can upload one from your stored pics.) for your Monster University ID and then add different things to your picture to make you look like a real monster. You can save your ID to your computer.
There are a few cute, little extras you have to see for yourself here.
You then get a choice of either reading along with the story or playing the games. If you choose reading along, it’s a really cute interactive thing for the younger kids to do. My son (3) likes this because it shows the story and then you can touch different things in each scene and they move or make noise or talk.
If you choose the “Play” mode, you then see different characters you can be during the game. After choosing your character, you get your pick of different games to play. In true Disney fashion, they have “easy” and “hard” levels for each.
The games all revolve around different aspects of the movie and the University classes. To play them you have to tilt your device to move left, right, up or down. And don’t let the “easy” level fool you, it’s not as easy as it looks.
All in all my kids loved it. My 6 year old had no problem playing the games and rotating the device and enjoying the graphics, and although it’s rated for 4+, my 3 year old enjoyed it as well. He had some problems playing the games and rotating the Ipad, but he did love the story aspect of it and making himself a monster.
