Hi Chip and Co fans! I stopped by Adventureland yesterday for a quick peek at the construction progress of the currently unannounced project happening at the Adventureland Veranda. Large green walls still line the walkways but you can see more details walking across the bridge.
When we brought you photos about a month ago, Disney hadn’t yet put up these scrims to block our view.
But, when the light hits it in a certain way you can still see through them.
It appears that the back deck of the Adventureland Veranda has been removed and we only see the rockwork underneath. As Disney is still being quiet on what is officially being done here, there has been much speculation from fans.
After the popularity of Moana at both Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Adventureland it would make sense that Disney would be working on a permanent place for her Meet and Greet. What’s great is that this used to be a Meet and Greet location. Does anyone remember Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook? It closed in 2014 when Tink moved to the Town Square Theater. Could Moana be the new tenant?
Another thought floating around is that this could be a future location to Magic Kingdom’s Club 33. Four Walt Disney World locations of this unique and very elite membership club were announced by Senior Vice President of Sales and Services, Claire Bilby to be arriving this Fall. The exact locations were not announced however so there is speculation on where they will pop up.
Of course, nothing is official until Disney says it is!
