Mickey Mouse Clubhouse SPORT-Y-THON DVD Review

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse presents Mickey’s SPORT-Y-THON DVD is coming May 24th, and Oh Boy what fun it is! We recently got a copy to review, and it might just be one of our favorite Clubhouse DVDs yet.

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Sport-y-thon DVD comes with six episodes for over 2 hours of action packed Disney fun. The DVD comes in the usual Disney Junior DVD packaging featuring a beautiful holographic embossed cover sleeves, movie rewards points, and of course a fun surprise! This time around the free bonus is quite nice, it’s a very solid and sturdy gold winners medal featuring the iconic Mickey shape as rings like the Olympic logo. It comes on a red, yellow & blue lanyard and looks like a real prize for winning a sporting competition, my little guy was very impressed by it (see below). While this was a DVD packed full of cartoons, sitting on the couch and lounging was not something we did with this one! Each episode is very encouraging to get you out of your seat, onto your feet and moving with the characters. The feature episode “Mickey’s Sport-y-thon” also features lots of characters from around the clubhouse world, and even outer space!

We really had a good time with this DVD, I love that it was so interactive and taught lots of good lessons about teamwork and good sportsmanship. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has always been great at teaching the values of friendship, but I really feel that this collection of episodes went above and beyond this time. As a huge fan of Donald Duck, the “Donald’s Brand New Clubhouse” was probably my favorite episode. Donald learns that the best Clubhouse is one full of friends.
