Marty’s General Store is Now Open at Hong Kong Disneyland

Marty’s General Store opened at Hong Kong Disneyland yesterday.  This store name is a tribute to Marty Sklar, a former Disney Imagineer.

Marty’s General Store can be found on Main Street U.S.A. and guests can find a wide variety of items to choose from.

Sklar worked for the Walt Disney Company for 54 years and was involved in the conception of Hong Kong Disneyland. In 2001 he was awarded the Disney Legend Award.  The last position he held with the company was Executive Vice President and Imagineering Ambassador.  Marty Sklar passed away in July of 2017.

The store’s opening date is listed as 1934, the year Marty was born.
