We all know that a visit to Disney can be both fun and educational. Whether it’s a visit to the World Showcase at Epcot in Walt Disney World or a ride on “it’s a small world” at Disneyland, there is something to be learned at every turn.

For this article, let’s take a closer look at “it’s a small world.” The iconic attraction offers Guests an opportunity to learn about different cultures around the world. One of the cultures that “The happiest Cruise Around the World” explores is Europe.

As your boat enters Europe, you pass under Tower Bridge. This bridge is an iconic landmark located in London, England. Keeping guard at the bridge are Yeomen Warders, or Beefeaters, dressed in their ceremonial scarlet and gold uniforms.

Rising above you as your boat sails by is the Eiffel Tower located in Paris, France. Nineteenth-century can-can dancers invite you to join in on the celebration as ballerinas put on a show beneath the iconic tower.

Enjoy the sounds of Flamenco music as your boat next passes into Spain and Portugal. A guitarist plays a fast-paced tempo as a young dancer, in a Sevillana dress full of ruffles and color, claps her hands and dances to the rhythm.

Your boat continues the tour of Europe in Italy. Titling to one side is one of Italy’s iconic landmarks, the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A gondolier navigates his swinging gondola through the Venice canals as a chorus of Italian opera singers belt out the attraction’s famous tune.

Welcoming you the Low Countries are Dutch children sitting on top of blooming tulips, tapping their wooden clogs. Right behind them, a Belgian goose girl leads a flock of geese.

With the Alps soaring up into the sky, bell ringers inside chalet-inspired wooden clocks bid you farewell and safe travels.
