There is a reason why there are signs posted and announcements made that say “Please keep your hands, arms, feet and legs inside the vehicle”. On July 10th a man, on Pirates of the Caribbean, Â lost the tips of his ring and pinky fingers on his right hand.
According to the Reedy Creek Fire Department the victim was an adult male from the U.K. He was taken to the hospital and did receive treatment.
How the accident happened is not really known but there are rumors that he had his hand in the water. The ride was shut down for about 5 hours and reopened at around 5:00 p.m.
